Jackie’s Beauty Buys: 15 Products I’m Excited About for Spring
Between my dedication to the latest skincare and haircare innovations (I'm down to try anything new) and my overflowing makeup cabinet (seriously, my collection takes up half my bedroom), you could say that I'm a bit of a beauty junkie—and I'm ready to spill what I've learned. In my new Beauty Buys column, I'm highlighting all the products on my radar, plus my tried-and-tested favorites that are truly worth the hype. First up: 15 things I'm eyeing for spring.
Glossier Play Vinylic Lip
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past five years, you know about the millennial pink beauty dream that is Glossier, a cult-favorite company that successfully convinced millions of women (and men) that the best makeup look is the no-makeup look, achieved through dewy skincare, glossy lips, and a Boy Brow. That is, until last week, when Glossier Inc. released a new line with the exact opposite approach: Glossier Play, a brand of "dialed-up beauty extras," made for going out and going all out. I'm excited to try the colorful gel eye pencils, the whimsical Glitter Gelée, and above all, the Vinylic Lip, which appears to be some of the glossiest full-color product I've ever seen.
Artis Oval 7 Brush
After upgrading from my old e.l.f. stipple brush to the raved-about beautyblender a couple years ago, I thought my foundation application couldn't get any better. When I tried the Artis Oval 7 brush last month, I realized just how wrong I had been. The Artis 7 can be used with liquid, cream, or powder (I use it with liquid) and seamlessly blends product into your skin without wasting any of it (which was my biggest complaint with my old brush). Best of all, the soft bristles feel so smooth and luxurious on my face. The brand offers tons of different sizes, so I hope to try some more soon.
Peach & Lily Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser
I'm a huge fan of double cleansing, the Korean beauty practice of first washing your face with an oil-based cleanser and then washing again with a water-based cleanser. I currently use the Biossance Cleansing Oil and love it, but I've been on the hunt for a new water-based wash. Peach & Lily's Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser might just be the answer—it's soothing (made with chamomile and camellia extracts), suitable for sensitive skin (free of irritating sulfates and toxins), and has a low pH of 5.5 (which maintains the skin's natural acidic balance).

NEST Wild Poppy Eau de Parfum Spray
NEST makes my favorite fragrances—Black Tulip is my signature—and the brand just released a new scent. Wild Poppy features notes of Rose de Grasse, Himalayan jasmine, and pear; it seems like the perfect floral perfume for spring.
Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Topaz
There's a reason this baby's called the Obsessions palette—I borrowed it from my sister a few months ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since. The shadows are so pretty and pigmented, and the bold orange shades really pop for spring.
Naturopathica Oat Cleansing Facial Polish
I try out so many products that it takes me forever to actually finish any, but I squeezed every last drop out of this facial polish from Naturopathica. I love that it's exfoliating but also super gentle—and it smells amazing.
Veque Nude Nail Polish
My nail polish of choice is always nude—Veque makes tons of shades to match different skin tones.
Rahua Smoothing Hair Balm
My hair can get super frizzy this time of year, so a smoothing product is a must-have for me. I'm loving the brand new Rahua Smoothing Hair Balm for on-the-go touch-ups.
Orveda The Healing Sap
Orveda's "Healing Sap" is a cross between a toner and serum with 10 active ingredients, designed to deliver serious glow—and it does just that. It's pricey, but it's truly one of the best products I've ever tried.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
I've been using this blush in the nude "Paarty" shade for a while now, and I love how long-lasting and buildable it is. For spring, I plan to pick up the brighter pink "Dollface" color.
Tony Moly I'm Real Cherry Blossom Sheet Mask
Cherry blossoms are as spring-y as it gets, so this will be the next face mask I buy from Tony Moly. I've already tried a bunch of others from the I'm Real line, so I know I'll love this one, too.
Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare CC Cream Color Correcting Foundation
Now that winter is coming to an end, I want to trade in my heavier foundation (I currently use Urban Decay's full-coverage All Nighter) for a lightweight CC cream. The first one I'm trying is by Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare—it promises to color correct skin using the brand's True Tone Technology.
Cannuka CBD Minis Collection
I'm really excited about the CBD trend that's happening in beauty—the ingredient has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, making it effective for topical skincare. This collection of minis from Cannuka will let me try a bit of everything before investing in something bigger.
HUM Nutrition Hair Sweet Hair Vitamins
They say beauty starts from the inside out, and it's true—I've noticed huge differences in my hair and skin based on my diet, water consumption, and supplements. These ones from HUM Nutrition support stronger, healthier hair with B vitamins and zinc.
CV Skinlabs Calming Moisture
Dry winter air takes a huge toll on my skin, so I'm using this advanced healing moisturizer to get it smooth again for spring.
