The Beauty and Grooming Products We’ll Buy Over and Over Again
Over the years, our editors have tried a lot of grooming products—we’re talking cleansers, moisturizers, serums, body washes, hair care, makeup… you name it. But only a few of the hundreds (if not thousands) of products we’ve tested have secured that coveted “must-have” label. Below, each of our editors writes about the one item that’s so good, they’ll buy it over and over and over again.
Living Libations Best Skin Ever Seabuckthorn Oil
“I’ve been using this Living Libations oil for years and it’s one of the only products that I can’t go without. It’s multi-purpose, so it’s especially great to travel with. I use it as a cleanser, face and body moisturizer, and even as a hair oil to tame frizz. I’ve yet to find a product that works as well and has this level of quality ingredients. For summer I’m also planning to test out the brand’s Everybody Loves the Sunshine Oil, which is especially nourishing for your skin when you’re spending time in the sun.”

Cardon Men’s 2-in-1 Facial Moisturizer with SPF
“I’ve only recently gotten into really taking care of my skin beyond my regular face wash, and seeing the results now, I don’t know what took me so long. I’m currently obsessed with Cardon’s daily face sunscreen and moisturizer for men. It’s super light but very effective for my combination skin—plus, it’s reef-safe, which I can always get behind.”

Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Natural Perfection Foundation
“I used to swap out foundations like I did outfits. They either made my skin too dry or too oily, looked cakey, or didn’t cover enough blemishes. After discovering Guerlain’s Lingerie De Peau Natural Perfection Foundation, I haven’t strayed since. It feels like you’re not even wearing anything—it’s that light and airy—and gives me the smooth, even, medium coverage I want and stays put all day. It’s my holy grail.”
— Lindsey Olander, Senior Editor
Harry’s Fig Body Wash
“I looooove this body wash! I was first introduced to it via things.i.bought.and.liked—and I would buy air if she told me to. It smells amazing and lingers on your skin for a few hours. The scent is hard to describe, but it’s perfect for both men and women (my boyfriend loves it just as much as I do), and the price can’t be beat.”
— Cara Sweeney, Marketing Specialist
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
“My go-to product? Aquaphor! I use it on everything: lips, hands, nails, feet, a chapped nose, even around my eyes. And I keep it everywhere: a big tub in my bathroom, a smaller one by my bed, and I stick mini tubes in my pocket or bag when I’m out and about. I’ve been hooked for years.”
— Saman Westberg, Style Correspondent
Tata Harper Resurfacing BHA Glow Mask
“I’ve re-purchased this resurfacing mask from Tata Harper over and over again for three or four years now. I wear makeup every day and rotate through a few different masks to decongest my skin, but this one is definitely my top pick. It’s all-natural, smells like a delicious blend of honey and citrus, and makes my skin feel smooth and clean and never irritated. It’s pricey, but if you have finicky skin like I do, definitely give this a whirl.”
— Elizabeth Mullen, Content Marketing Strategist
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream
“This Dr. Jart cream has been a staple in my routine for years now. My skin tends to dry out during the winter, and this is always my quick fix. I put a thin layer on at night and wake up with super hydrated, soft, glowing skin. It’s truly the best moisturizer I have ever used.”
— David Hattan, Photo Editor
Hum Nutrition Killer Nails Supplements
“After years and years of poor nail habits, my nails were so flimsy and brittle. As soon as I would get them to grow any sort of length, they would immediately split, break, or snag on my clothes if I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing. I did a lot of research on Biotin and started taking the highly recommended HUM Killer Nails supplements a few months ago. I can tell you with certainty, they work! My nails have never grown out this strong (and long) before. I no longer have any issues with splitting, and as a bonus my hair has noticeably less breakage, so I guess that’s just an added benefit. These supplements will always be stocked in my medicine cabinet now—my natural nails have never looked so good.”

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
“I used to be so lazy about taking off my makeup at night (I know, I know!), but what finally got me into better habits was Garnier’s micellar cleansing water. It’s simple to apply with a cotton pad, so you don’t have to go through the whole water-splashing cleanser fiasco that leaves puddles around your sink and floor (just me?). Nowadays, I try to double-cleanse when I can, but I still keep my trusty Garnier bottle around for late nights when I need something effortless.”
— Jackie Homan, Style and Travel Editor
Sun Bum Revitalizing Conditioner
“Sun Bum’s revitalizing conditioner is a great product, especially for summer. I’ve got very long hair that gets dry and messy when it’s hot out, so hydration is key.”
