Germany

Calling all beer fans—flights are on sale to Germany just in time for Oktoberfest. You can get to the heart of the action by flying right into Munich from Chicago, New York, or Boston between September 18 and October 8. Round-trip fares cost in the $500 range and can be booked via United, Swiss, and Lufthansa. Frankfurt, however, has many more routes (from 80+ U.S. airports) averaging in the low $400s, especially if you check basic economy on American. Now that’s something we can cheers to!

The Maldives

When we first saw this fare, we thought it was a mistake. But after triple checking, it’s still available—if you act fast. You can hop on a flight to your own beautiful overwater bungalow in the Maldives for only $423 round-trip from Los Angeles via China Eastern. The best weeks to book are September 3-11 and September 29 to October 14. Note: All flights have a layover in Shanghai, and possibly additional cities, depending on your travel dates.

Mexico City

Mexico City is an ideal vacation spot in the fall thanks to festivities like Día de los Muertos (October 31 to November 2). It’s also an easy getaway for Thanksgiving if you’d rather trade the turkey for a trip. Round-trip seats on every major airline (we're talking American, Delta, United, JetBlue, etc.) start at $200 from Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston but jump to $300 from Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Santa Barbara.

Doha

There are rarely deals to Doha, so it’s smart to snag one while you can. Qatar Airways (one of the world's swankiest airlines), British Airways, and Iberia are all offering half-price tickets to the capital for $712 if you depart from New York City, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago (ORD), Dallas, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tampa, and Washington D.C. The best times to go are September through November—there’s even availability during Thanksgiving.

Morocco

Despite how close Morocco is to Europe, it usually costs a fortune to get to this North African country. On average, tickets hover around $1,000, but are now half price on United, Lufthansa, Swiss, and Air Canada. Casablanca and Marrakech are accessible from Boston, Los Angeles, and New York City, all for $550.
