The Best Women’s Clothing to Buy on Amazon
Amazon’s long been the place to buy everything—books, tech, and even food—but until recently, it’s lacked in one major department: fashion. That’s all quickly changing for the e-commerce giant, though. Last year, Amazon debuted dozens of its own clothing brands. It also introduced the EchoLook, an Alexa-powered style assistant, and launched Prime Wardrobe, a try-before-you-buy system for clothes shopping, available to all Prime members. While you may be skeptical about shopping for something as personal as fashion in the same place you buy your batteries, we’re happy to report that so far, there’s plenty of potential for a stylish site. Here, the best women’s clothing and accessories on Amazon now.

Influencer-designed fashions
Amazon’s newest fashion initiative, The Drop, takes everything you know about the mega-retailer and flips it on its head. Forget basics, bulk orders, and huge product stocks—this line is built on made-on-demand clothing that’s available for 30 hours only. Amazon partners with international trendsetters to design each fashion-forward collection of limited-edition items, which are complemented by a line of always-available Staples (our favorites are above). Casual weekend-wear
No matter what your style is, Amazon’s own labels have you covered when it comes to cute weekend outfits. We love the trendy dresses and blouses from Plumberry, the cozy knit sweaters and tops from Cable Stitch (it’s not too early to start stocking up for fall!), and the array of contemporary styles from Painted Heart.
Workwear
Office attire on Amazon? You might have your doubts, but the supersite’s new fashion labels have work essentials for everyone. Count on Lark & Ro for the classics (trousers, blouses, wrap dresses), and go to Paris Sunday for feminine looks (flounce dresses, ruffled details, lots of lace) that can go straight from desk to drinks.

Denim jeans and shorts
Amazon’s two best denim brands (in our opinion) are Hale and Goodthreads. With the former, expect skinny and boyfriend jeans galore, many of them embellished with details like embroidery, distressing, and studs. From the latter, you can grab modern straight-leg and cropped jeans, jackets, skirts, and shorts in a variety of washes.
Lounge and activewear
Lounge and activewear seem more native to Amazon (let’s face it—the store’s never been associated with runway-ready fashion), and its own collections in these categories exceed expectations. For basic cotton tees, dresses, and joggers, turn toward Daily/Ritual, which also has a wide selection of plus-size garments. When it comes to athleisure, Luna Coalition is chock-full of muscle tees and stylish sweats, and for full-on activewear, Mint Lilac has the best leggings and athletic shorts.
Socks, underwear, and intimates
Amazon’s always been good at the little things, and that includes your undergarments. The Amazon Essentials line has—you guessed it—purely functional essentials like socks and white cotton undies, while Amazon’s Madeline Kelly line steps it up a notch with a colorful variety. If you prefer less cutesy and more sexy, check out Mae, which sells lacier, cheekier designs.
Swimwear and cover-ups
Ready to get your beach vacay on? Order everything you need on Amazon, from your towel to your bathing suit. The Coastal Blue collection is excellent for one-pieces, tankinis, and control swimwear on the conservative side, while Ocean Blues has plenty of cute mix-and-match bikini tops and bottoms.
Shoes, bags, jewelry, and accessories
Amazon has two original brands we love for accessories: The Fix for statement-making shoes and The Lovely Tote Co for trendy crossbody purses and shoulder bags. In addition to its own lines, Amazon also has an incredible Handmade section, where you can find artfully-crafted and customizable jewelry and gifts.
Your favorite classic brands
Until about two years ago, Amazon didn’t have its own clothing lines—it relied on fashion from best-selling, tried-and-true brands like Calvin Klein, Adidas, and Levi’s. Those classic labels are all still available through the retailer, with their own shoppable homepages so you know they’re authentic. If you’re not ready to hop on the Amazon-original fashion bandwagon quite yet, stick to the designers you love and you can’t go wrong.
