This renovated Beaux-Arts hotel feels more like an art lover’s elegant townhouse, with an understated sophistication befitting its Upper East Side address. The Lauren Rottet–designed space — done up in the black, white and sepia tones of the classic photography that inspired it — is a fitting home for the Imogen Cunningham and Chuck Close prints decorating its walls.
