When acclaimed Chilean architect German del Sol set out to imagine a sustainable hotel in his home country, he picked a sleepy fishing town long considered the gateway to Torres del Paine as its unassuming backdrop. It’s only fitting, then, that its stylized interiors, like windswept window frames (a nod to the region’s traditional prairie homes) and low-slung buildings topped with original hillside grass, are also subtle tributes to the renowned national park. The 72 rooms are dressed largely in muted earth tones, while vibrant, hand-woven blankets and wide mountain views provide pops of color.
