Kimpton Rouge Hotel
With all its pomp and circumstance, DC isn’t exactly known for irreverence. But the 137-room Hotel Rouge is one place that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Renovated in late 2011, the hotel’s Pop Art decor evokes a film set boudoir, with crimson leather, retro lamps in vivid hues and animal print furnishings. In the rooms you’ll find flat-screen TVs and whimsical extras like romance kits in the minibar. Accommodations are spacious, and also include iHome docking stations. Families traveling together will appreciate the Bunk Bed Suites, featuring a curtained alcove with extra sleeping space. As with other Kimpton properties, the Hotel Rouge offers a nightly lobby wine hour. Continue with drinks in the hotel's bar, which also serves charcuterie plates, fresh seafood, chicken wings and ... more...
