“Fall is my favorite fashion season—it’s all about cozy sweaters, boots, and denim. This year, I’m in the market for a great blouse to pair with jeans, like this one from Madewell; a pair of easy, classic black booties that go with everything; and a soft cashmere scarf because my old one has a huge hole in it!”

“I lived in London during one perfect fall, and I’ve tried to channel that mood ever since. This month, I’m picking up a handful of new cozy knits—including this dreamy Alpaca wool sweater—which I plan to layer beneath a classic trench. I also plan on living in these sturdy Chelsea boots, so whenever someone (that someone being me) inevitably suggests a weekend of apple- or pumpkin-picking, I’ll be ready.”

“I love when the weather finally cools down enough to pull out the sweaters, jackets, boots… all the good stuff. Right now I have my eye on this oversized wool-blend flannel from Acne Studios, a ’70s-inspired belted midi dress from & Other Stories, and Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Clarifying Serum. I have to pay extra attention to my skin when the temps change, and this serum really works. It’s infused with hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and Albatrellus Ovinus Mushroom that instantly calms skin. It’s a splurge, but I notice such a difference when I use it.”

“October is easily one of my favorite times in NYC. The weather is perfect, there are tons of weekend getaways to choose from, and it’s officially spooky season. All month long, catch me slugging Downeast Pumpkin Cider whenever I get the chance. I’ve had a ton of difficulty finding the brand in various Brooklyn bodegas, but Drizly makes an easy delivery in under 60 minutes, and I’ll tell you, this stuff’s worth it. I’m also loving Everlane’s newest fall collection, especially this reversible fleece jacket in oatmeal and deep lichen—two of my go-to colors. The versatility of both sides is great because no matter the outfit, I can make it match. I’m looking for a new book to read on the subway and in my downtime—and I want something scary. I’ve heard good things about Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons, a novel that details a group of people with a psychic power to control others—which leads to strengthened powers when one of their puppets commits murder… so I think I’ll snag that this month.”

“I know I don’t really need another pair of black booties, but this Western-inspired Ash style with a snake-embossed finish would add a little something new to my collection. I want to pair them with these cool sheer socks I found from Of a Kind—I’ll scrunch them so they just peek out at the top. I’m also loving a new beauty tool this month: Esker’s Allover Jade Roller. It’s like the facial jade rollers you’ve seen everywhere, but jumbo-sized for your whole body. By gently rolling skin in upward strokes (using body oil), the tool relieves tension and promotes regeneration.”

“It’s FINALLY starting to cool down in NYC and that means it’s time for double denim and boots. This month I’m restocking my raw jeans with a pair from Unbranded that are 14.5oz selvedge denim, but are a fraction of the price compared to similar brands. I’m also grabbing this distressed trucker jacket that will definitely be a staple all season. And no fall outfit is complete without a pair of boots, so I’m splurging on some from Taft that are durable and hella handsome.”

“Fall has always been my favorite season to dress for. I love playing with textures and layers, and I’ve been on the search for a pleated black midi skirt that’s versatile enough to wear through all East Coast seasons and can be dressed up or down. I finally found the perfect one by Know One Cares for such a steal at Nordstrom Rack. I’m excited to pair it with my new casual-luxury Comme Des Garçons PLAY black heart T-shirt (with its legendary heart/two eyes design) tucked in. And for the chilly October breeze in Boston, I can’t wait to get more use out of my new beautiful Soia & Kyo draped jacket. I love the neutral color—I can wear it over any outfit and still look put together.”

“I’ve been consistently using Ole Henriksen’s Truth Serum for a while now, and I’ve been impressed by how it truly brightens my skin and creates glow. When restocking, I decided to go for the three-piece set, which also includes an eye cream and a facial cream. It’s a really good deal, and now I’m a big fan of those, too. Another product I just restocked is The Ordinary’s Retinoid Emulsion. I had a pretty big sun spot above one eyebrow, and the treatment made it virtually disappear. I also have my eye on this leather padded coat—it’s slick, but cozy, and would make a great fall jacket.”

“October is one of those mythical months in New England when the weather is near perfect. I’m getting this ivory sweater that I plan on wearing over this silky wine-colored cami and pairing with jeans for fall day-trips. I am also stocking up on some candles that smell sweet, woody, and fresh, just like the great outdoors. I first discovered them in a boutique in Jackson Hole last year and have taken to ordering them online because they’re so good!”
