Travel Like You’re in Back to the Future
Doc and Marty took the ultimate trip to this very date back in the 1985 movie. And to celebrate, we've rounded up ways for you to live the McFly life.
October 21, 2015 marks the date that time-traveling duo Marty McFly and Doc Brown arrive at after hitting 88 miles per hour in the cult classic Back to the Future II.
To celebrate these ultimate adventurers, we’ve rounded up the ultimate futuristic travel experiences. Start with a seriously rad ride to work. Lyft today is offering free DeLorean rides throughout Manhattan between 11 am and 5 pm. For a chance to enjoy the ultimate joyride, download the app and select "McFly Mode." DeLoreans are being shipped in from across the country to cope with demand, but there’s no guarantee that each car is fitted with a Flux Capacitor.
Want your own Delorean? Travel to LA and for $285, you can have the sweet ride pick you up and take you to Marty’s house or the Burger King from the movie. Or shell out more to book the car for a full day. Time travel not included.
If you’re ready to go more futuristic, consider booking a trip to Aruba to try out a water powered jetpack. Hoverboards and flying cars are still a ways out, but we think these folding private planes are pretty rad.
