BREAKING: Southwest Airlines Just Released $49 Flights to Hawaii

The news has been circulating for months, and it’s finally official: Southwest Airlines has soft-launched services to Hawaii, with fares for as low as $49 right now. (Yes, that’s double digits.)

The catch? The discounts are only available today (March 5) for one-way flights out of Oakland and San Jose, California to Honolulu and Kahului in Maui. Official service is scheduled to start on March 17 from Oakland to Honolulu, and on April 7 for flights between Oakland and Kahului. (San Jose connections will begin in May.)

But that’s not all. The airline is also launching inter-island flights between Oahu and Maui four times daily beginning April 28. Ready to book right now? Through the end of today, future fliers can purchase this one-way ticket for as low as $29.
