One Trend, Five Ways: Slip Dresses for Fall
Silky and spaghetti-strapped, slip dresses are a natural fit for spring and summer. But even after the sunny days come to an end, we're still rocking these frocks all over town. How, you ask? Scroll on—we styled slip dresses five different ways for fall.

1. Layer a Turtleneck Underneath
Wear your dress over a fitted turtleneck T-shirt for added warmth and style. We especially love this method for tie-strap dresses, like the lilac midi below.
2. Top It With a Blazer
Bring your slip dress into after-work cocktail territory by throwing a cool blazer on top. If that seems too dressy for your occasion, simply step into some sneakers to balance out the look.
3. Turn It Into a Skirt
Add a pullover sweater over your slip dress, and voilà, you’ve turned it into a slip skirt—easily fall-appropriate, in our opinion. Choose a print with a dark background for even more autumnal vibes.
4. Add a Duster
For a total cool-girl look, go with a dramatic duster coat as your outerwear pick. Hitting around the same height as your dress, it’ll make for a sleek—and toasty—ensemble.
5. Cover Your Legs
An asymmetric slip dress can look cool with tights underneath. But be sure to choose a somewhat sheer pair—opaque ones will look too heavy with the flow-y dress.
