Very rarely does Europe go on sale in the peak summer season, which is why we’re especially excited to see Barcelona flights in the $200 range. If you book in September (hello, Labor Day!), you can fly direct from Newark ($227), Miami ($292), and even San Francisco ($283). Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City (JFK), Philadelphia, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale also have wallet-friendly flights, but they have layovers.
