Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, St. Lucia
Despite the affordability you’ll find at Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, don’t expect to stay in your standard hotel room. Instead, guests have their pick among 80 Mediterranean-inspired villas built right into a verdant hillside, each with their own private plunge pool. Another six swimming pools are spread throughout the property (ensuring you never have to fight for a lounger), but it’s the 64,000-square-foot white-sand beach on the hotel’s doorstep—one of the finest on St. Lucia—that trumps it all. Non-motorized water sports like windsurfing, snorkeling, and Hobie Cat rentals are all included in your rate, so dive in.

Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, Aruba
An alluring private island just offshore—open to guests for day visits—is undoubtedly the biggest draw during a stay at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino in Oranjestad. (It’s the only hotel on Aruba to offer such a perk.) You’re also within easy reach of downtown historic Oranjestad’s shopping and sightseeing attractions as well as the island’s best beaches. Couples will want to opt for a room on the adults-only side of the property (the Renaissance Marina), while bigger groups often stick to the family-friendly Renaissance Ocean Suites. Whatever your preference, all are welcome to hop the hotel’s water taxi for the short ride to said private island, where swinging in a hammock on Iguana Beach or ogling the resident flamingoes is on the day’s laid-back agenda.

The Explorean Cozumel, Mexico
With just 56 rooms, The Explorean Cozumel is one of the Mexican port town’s more intimate all-inclusive resorts. While not over-the-top luxurious, rooms come with good-value extras like over-size rain showers and balconies overlooking the surrounding jungle. Your rate also includes full access to the adjacent five-star Fiesta Americana Resort, which has an impressive pool area and swim-up bar. The biggest sell for staying at the Explorean, however, is the location: the property sits right on pretty Uvas Beach, in a relatively undeveloped stretch of coastline on the island’s western side, and Chankanaab National Park and Mayan ruins are both just minutes away.

Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma, Jamaica
Among the many resorts fronting Jamaica’s Seven Mile Beach, Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma offers an affordable, more laidback scene far removed from the honeymooning crowds. Each guest room has views of the deep blue Caribbean, and some even offer private swim-ups that let you step from your bed almost directly into the pool. The dining options are also next-level, from the hyper-fresh ingredients and seafood at the buffet to authentic Italian at Di Romagna—the property’s sexiest dinner spot.

Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa, St. Lucia
The “split personality” of St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, as you might call it, makes it as much a draw for privacy-seeking singles and twosomes as it does for social friends and families. For the former, the adults-only Harmony wing has its own pool, hammocks for lounging, and an oceanfront spa called Kai Mer. The latter will want to book themselves into the Splash wing, which offers a water park and paintball court among other rowdier amenities. The beautiful mile-long white-sand beach out the door is open to all and is a particular favorite with St. Lucia’s kite-surfing crowd.

Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive, Aruba
Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive sits just south of Eagle Beach on its own enviable mile-long stretch of sand. Being tied to another resort (Divi Aruba) means guests have access to a slew of amenities including a total of six freshwater pools, eight bars, 13 restaurants, a golf course, and even a rock climbing wall—though it’s worth it to know that of the two, only guests at Tamarijn are guaranteed ocean views from all 236 of its rooms.
Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino, Curacao
The Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino gives guests lots to love beyond its affordable rates—and we’re not just talking about its location smack in the historic city of Willemstad, the most colorful town in the Netherlands Antilles. Here, you can refresh in Curacao’s only “infinity beach” (it’s actually a saltwater pool masquerading as the ocean) overlooking the Caribbean, where you can watch cruise ships call into the nearby port. A departure from the beachy turquoises and tans of other resorts, the Renaissance Curacao’s bold patterned carpets and sofas and colored glass murals are quirky and vibrant—much like Curacao itself.

Luxury Bahia Principe Samana, Dominican Republic
The adults-only Luxury Bahia Principe Samana occupies an enviable post on the southern coast of the Dominican’s Samana Peninsula. The sweeping views of Samana Bay might stop you in your tracks; the totally reasonable rates here, however, will not. The property’s 149 accommodations all have nice luxe touches such as hydro-massage bathtubs, while the best rooms come with sea views. After dropping your bags, book a massage for two in the spa’s airy outdoor gazebo, relax on the beach, or sip something frosty in the hotel’s pretty garden terrace pool.
Breezes Resort & Spa, Nassau, Bahamas
Right on Nassau’s Cable Beach, Breezes Resort & Spa makes for a far more affordable stay than flashy Baha Mar next door. Guest rooms are right on the sand and the all-inclusive rate applies to all five on-site restaurants as well as non-motorized water sports. (Heading out to explore the water with a paddle boat or kayak is a must during your stay.) The extra daily fee for renting one of the resort’s palapa-style beach cabanas is a bit of a bummer, but with the money you save staying here, you can probably afford some extra splurges.
Sunset at the Palms, Negril, Jamaica
Sunset at the Palms feels like the anti-all-inclusive in so many ways, from its intimate treehouse-style accommodations surrounded by lush, tropical flowers and hummingbirds to the beachfront jerk grill and open-air espresso bar off the lobby (the use of which is all wrapped into your rate). While this tucked-away boutique may not sit right on the sand, it’s a quick and easy stroll across a two-lane street to reach the private beach set up for guests at Bloody Bay. Other amenities include a lagoon-style pool with a swim-up bar and a chef’s showcase dining experience (be sure to reserve in advance).
