Where did you grow up?

“I'm from Long Island in a town by the sea. And even though it's close to NYC, at times, the city felt farther away than Oz.”

And where do you live now?

“I live in Forest Hills, Queens. It's a cute little neighborhood twenty minutes away from NYC by subway. It has a ton of European charm and I like that it’s somewhat removed from Manhattan’s madness. My place is also super close to JFK airport, my second home.”

If you could live in any New York ‘hood, which would it be?

“The West Village. I love walking around the brownstones and pretending that I own one.”

Where else do you like to explore?

“Fifth Ave—especially for shopping. You can’t help but feel like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s when you walk through Bergdorf and Barney’s. When I’m in that area, I also love stopping by The Plaza Hotel, which is just pure magic. Walking through the lobby, I can’t help but imagine what the place must’ve looked like in the 1920s, with all the glittering flappers and dapper gentleman. What I wouldn’t give to have been at one of those parties!"

Any other favorite NYC hotels?

“I'm a total hotel person— I even have a series called Hotel Like Jagger where I profile super swanky spots, so I could name so many favorite New York properties. But I guess if I had to pick just one more, it'd be The Crosby Hotel. It's a historic cast-iron building on a cobbled street in SoHo and the interiors are super whimsical—like something out of Alice in Wonderland.”

What’s your idea of a perfect Saturday in the city?

“I love getting up early during the weekend and walking in Central Park while everything is quiet and calm. Then, sitting on a bench with a cup of coffee and watching the world wake up. It’s the closest to meditation I get. Later in the day, I’ll go for a workout at David Barton Gym in Limelight, and, during the summer, I’ll head to SoHo House to chill by the pool. By the time the sun starts to go down, you can bet that I have a cocktail in hand.”

And where’s dinner?

Rubirosa is hands-down the best pizza in New York, maybe even the whole world. My fiancée and I are both Italian and go to Italy multiple times a year, but we still vote this place as having the best slice in the world. Another favorite Italian spot is Bar Pitti, which serves all the classics, and Bagatelle in the Meatpacking for great French bistro-style cooking.”

Any other favorite weekend spots?

“I have a home in the Catskills, so I actually end up spending most weekends there recharging and connecting with nature. [Laughs]. I'm totally kidding—what I actually end up doing is sitting on the sofa for extended periods of time, drinking wine and stalking people on Insta.”
