In a year of devastating hurricanes, sweeping sexual misconduct allegations, Bitcoin fever, the release of the iPhone X, and the royal engagement heard round the world, Google had its work cut out for it. Together, we ran more than 2 trillion queries and delivered the search engine's highest ever spike in traffic. Of course, destinations were among Google's top-trending topics. Below, the ten that received the most love.

Las Vegas, Nevada
Sin City—world-famous for its frenetic nightlife, hypnotic entertainment, and massive casino resorts—garnered the most destination-based searches last year.
