"I’ll admit I’m a little obsessed with checking unexpected destinations off my bucket list. For our honeymoon, for example, I loved the idea of Mozambique—incredible safaris, sugar-white beaches, idyllic islands—but my husband had his heart set on Hawaii. And boy was he right. (I guess that’s why I married him!) We split two weeks between Maui and Kauai and never have we had more fun—eating too much poke, downing too many tropical cocktails, seeing incredible natural beauty during hikes along the Na Pali coast and inside Haleakala National Park.
