Everything about the modern, environmentally-friendly Square Hotel is
designed to impress, from its dining room with spectacular views across
the city to its location on popular Rådhuspladsen, just 200 metres from
Tivoli Gardens and Copenhagen Central Station.
The city of Copenhagen is well worth exploring: head to Nyhavn for a boat tour or two, and make for the Round Tower, botanical gardens and Amalienborg palace for a taste of this bustling metropolis’s rich historical and natural sights. After a busy day
of sightseeing and tasting the city’s fabulous coffee culture, kick back in the hotel’s Lounge, where you can watch television, tuck into cake (from 3pm) and Danish treats, enjoy views from the terrace, or read a newspaper with a wine or soda in hand.
To end a day in style, rest up in one of the hotel’s cool and minimally-designed rooms or suites – bright, spacious and generously-equipped spaces you won’t soon want to leave.
All the rooms at The Square boast a stylish but
minimalistic design and include a minibar, a flatscreen TV with
satellite channels and a writing desk. The double bed and your big
bath tub provide the perfect remedy for weary, shopped-out legs. Opt for a Junior suite, which comes with complimentary access to the hotel’s lounge as part of our offer.
traditional Danish continental breakfast, taken in the breakfast restaurant with roof terrace from 6.30-10am (or 7-11am on weekends and public holidays), features
a buffet packed with Danish baked treats, pastries, rye bread, meats,
cheeses, jams, eggs, yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit and vegetables,
juices, coffee or tea. If you rise and shine early, there’s a
complimentary croissant and coffee or tea in the lobby area from 5am
The hotel’s great location in
downtown Copenhagen puts you within comfortable walking distance to the
central train station, the university, most major tourist attractions
and restaurants. This city is the perfect place for cycling, so why not
rent a bike and cruise around the sights.
How to Get There
The best thing is the location, but staff from the hotel were not very kind and educated, indeed most of the people are not very polite and I consider them quite rude.
Breakfast not varied: cheese and ham, with water juice, I mean not real juice. Not olive oil.
We couldn't have access to our room until 15.00 o'clock and we arrived at the hotel at 12.30.
If I go back to Copenhagen I would not stay at the Square.
Let’s be truly REAL. Our room was localed on the third floor. Ir was not a problem, the problem is that there is a lot of noise outside and you cannot relax at night, bit let me tell you more: the room was supposed to be for three people...that is really tiny if you compare it with Spanish hotels. It is a 4 star hotel and the staff is not polite with guests. You cannot enter your room before 3 pm. Really? Yes,completely. The best thing related to the hotel is the location. If you wanna try Dannish kitchen, I highly recommend Karla. Nearby the hotel and good traditional Dannish food. Not very expensive, for 600DKK you can taste good Dannish food.
What about the breakfast? Coffee = horrible, juice = fake, better say water, bread= not varied, ham = fake, cheese=too ordinary....moreover is not well organizad because of the people in charged.
Si algún español necesita que le diga me puede enviar mensaje y le digo y cuento.
We went to Copenhagen for 3 nights for a quick pre-Christmas holiday and a trip to Tivoli. We chose the Square because of it's location and we were a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but we needn't have worried, the hotel is perfectly located and all the staff we interacted with were amazingly warm and friendly. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids (7 & 6) and it was of a good size and we didn't hear any other guests, although I'm sure they heard us. There was a great selection at breakfast and the quality was good, would not hesitate to stay here again and will do so if in Copenhagen.
I cant write 200 characters worth of how good a hotel is... but will try.. Very nice hotel, good location to everything in the city to see. The breakfast was good and the wifi was handy. The staff were friendly. It was clean and comfortable...................................................................................................................................................
We stayed 4 nights at The Square Nov / Dec 2018. Its centrally located and great for Tivoli Gardens, shops & restaurants. Tivoli is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Wallmans Circus Dinner show 2 minute walk & worth booking.
Sadly the hotel does not offer room service currently??, but if you like pizza pop over the road to Vesuvio for a takeaway - its very good.
25~30 minutes in a taxi from the airport.
