How to Get There
We arrived at the hotel after over 30 hours of flying at 9am and were prepared to leave our bags at reception. But they had our room ready, which was so much appreciated. Our room (120) overlooked the street on the first floor, but was very small. The first night was a nightmare as the room was extremely noisy and we were awoken by a garbage truck right under our room (we could have touched it). The next morning we asked for a quieter room and were given a room (324) that was the same standard that faced the carpark and bigger (though the same standard). This was so much better. There was no fridge, but I think that is standard with Scandi rooms. The hotel provides umbrellas for guests, which was appreciated as some days were rainy. I would stay here again, but would make sure I have a room facing the carpark, and one of the bigger standard rooms (as it it impossible to move your bags past the bed). The breakfast was very nice and there are nice chairs in the lobby area.
This hotel is very near central station and the vesteport train station. Hotel staff were super friendly and breakfast had a good selection. Although try to avoid at busy times.
Room was ok for the 2 nights we stayed there, small and bathroom was compact functional.
The only thing I would say about the hotel is the lifts. All 3 of them they are tiny.
Would recommend this hotel.
Very large hotel. It caters to groups which caused problems at breakfast time. The first morning of my stay diners were spilled over into the foyer to eat breakfast. I gave up as I couldn't get to the buffet anyway. The second day I was leaving so ate very early. Good variety.
The lifts are tiny tiny. At the most 4 pax, without luggage.
Accommodation clean, tidy, soundproof rooms. Shower over bath...tea coffee facilities although I didn't see any milk.
Idea location from train station. Come out of main entrance, veer to the left towards the canal and follow your nose.
If you do what I did and come out of the entrance opposite the Tivoli gardens you'll be near the red light district. Return and start again.....
Close to hotel is underground. Two stops to a park that you walk through to reach the little mermaid. From there an interesting walk back to hotel, taking in the sights.
