Excellent stay
Reviewed 4 days ago

Enjoyed our weekend in Copenhagen. We stayed at the Adina, which was a great base. The reception team was very helpful and obliging, and the Adina is modern, clean and comfortable. It may be more in a business district, so it is quiet at the weekend. This probably explains why The Storehouse bar and restaurant (part of the hotel) is closed then. There is a Netto on the corner, so you can easily stock up for breakfast, etc.

The Little Mermaid is close by.

The bus stop for the No.26 into the city centre is on the doorstep, and it’s a regular service. Easy enough to walk in along the waterfront, though - about a 30 mins stroll to Nyhavn.

Modern and well equipped kitchen

This hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the Little Mermaid and Churchill Park, so it is a little bit outside the main area of Nyhavn or Stroget, which is perfect as it is quiet, but still walking distance to everything you'd want to see including the Hop on Hop Off tours which have a stop at the Little Mermaid. Check in was easy and our room was a nice size with a well equipped kitchen. We've stayed at places where you didn't have enough pots or utensils, but Adina covered all the bases including having en-suite laundry. Breakfast was included in our booking and it's certainly worth it as the breakfast had nice cold and hot options with dietary concern options as well! Staff were helpful, friendly and informative. We would stay here again and noticed that they have other locations in different countries which we would definitely look to stay at for the quality and service experienced at the Copenhagen location. It's nice to know what to expect.

Very comfortable

We had 5 nights here and found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. Our studio apartment was a good size and the bed was good as was the shower. Being able to open the window and the door on to the balcony was great although there then was some noise from the nearby trainline but this was not a problem at night. The Osterport train station was an easy 10 minute walk along the road or slightly longer through the Kastellet park. The Little Mermaid was also within a short walk.
The only drawback to the Adina is that there are not a lot of restaurants close by.

Very good facilities in apartment
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Our apartment had a separate bedroom with large, comfortable double (queen?) bed and plenty of pillows.

The bathroom had a shower over the bath, with a glass screen. No water got onto the floor! The shower head is fixed, so you might not like it if you are used to using a shower head on a flexible hose. Bath has fixed spout, no shower attachment. Plenty of towels, even a face washer provided. Plenty of bench space at basin to lay out toiletries.

Washing machine and separate tumble drier in bathroom. Heaven! Detergent provided.

Kitchen had full size electric oven, cooktop with two electric hotplates, medium-sized fridge with usable freezer, and microwave oven. Dishwasher provided with tablets.

Living area had medium sized desk with chair and two power outlets, lounge, TV (another was in the bedroom) and dining table with two chairs (so, a total of three chairs). Lounge was also a sofa bed - we didn't try this. Small balcony with ashtray.

Housekeeping serviced the room daily.

Location: Not in the centre of town, but within walking distance of the Little Mermaid. Next door to a Netto supermarket, open 7 days until 10pm. Bus takes you to the closest railway station, to the centre of town and to the main railway station. (Bus routes are changing, so check up on this.) Buy a ticket online and show it to the bus driver on your phone. Get the ticket that is an SMS if your phone will not be online all the time, as our app ticket kept vanishing when we were out of wireless range. (We are Australian and can't afford to have the data on the phone turned on.)

The Netto supermarket has most things, but you need to look hard. I did not find any good bread in Copenhagen at all (e.g. a German broetchen or a French baguette that wasn't a miserable imitation). There are fancier supermarkets called Irma at the nearest railway station and throughout the city, but even these don't have good bread.

My only problem with the room was to do wtih cooking hot food. There was no baking tray for the oven, and no potholders. There was also no pyrex casserole dish for the microwave. Housekeeping were unable to help us with this. So, we bought some disposable foil trays at Netto, and used our tea towel and the bathroom hand towel as potholders. We already had a roll of aluminium foil.

I would gladly stay here again. It's expensive, but I adore having my own washing machine and a full set of kitchen appliances. (Sorry, didn't notice about electric kettles and coffeemakers, as we don't drink coffee.)
