How to Get There
From initial welcome through to final (very sad) farewell, we were made thoroughly welcomed and valued by all the ultra friendly staff.
Swim up room was fabulous (tho plenty of sun loungers if you didn't have private ones). Good selection of good quality food and drink served with pride.
Loved the quiet, out of town location, with easy access to Kos itself (~4km away) on a ubiquitous hire bike along the purpose built promenade, or by taxi or bus.
The best swimming pool ever - photos can't possibly capture it!
Brilliant service, lovely grounds, ultra clean and beach just over the road.
Soooo sorry to have to come home 😥
This year we consider ourselves very lucky. We chose Kos as our holiday destination for the first two weeks of June and had perfect weather; and then we chose the Diamond Delux Hotel as our accommodation. A very well designed and constructed hotel with rooms located in two to three storey buildings, scattered around a very large water/pool area. Rooms have good quality furnishings, buildings and grounds all very well maintained. The staff, from reception, dining room, spa and even the room cleaning and garteners were delightful people, who all seemed to enjoy working at the hotel. The food was magnificent; a tremendous choise and varity. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed with a good guest mixture during our stay; both young and old couples and an international mix. The location was somewhat isolated. However, two Euro and fifteen minutes in a local bus brought one to the ceture of Kos Town. The beach was disappointing. The hotel provided ample good shades and comfortable sun beds, but probably local authority restrictions to maintain a "natural beach" made it look rather untidy and it was difficult to get into the sea due to stones and boulders. Snacks and drinks in the hotel were very expensive for Greece. But, quality and maintenance comes at a price these days! Hence our verdict, almost perfect.
There was an amusing incident during our stay. The hotel had a very nice open sided dining room where dress code was strictly enforced. There was a pool area adjacent to the room. One evening, a guest left the dining room, walked over to the side of the pool, undressed down to his underpants and waded into the pool. A swallow had swooped to drink in the pool and then hit the glass balustrading of a bridge over the pool and had fallen stunned into the water. He retrieved the bird and received a standing ovation from the dining guests for his rescue operation!!
Great hotel, most of the staff are amazing, being disabled the restaurant staff could not be more attentive, especially the restaurant manager Anistis,THE ONLY downside was the price of the drinks and no real evening entertainment, there was only 1 night that a gentleman played a keyboard and a saxophonist accompanied him which was excellent,,The rooms are very good as is the maid service, also it would be nice for the reception staff to smile whe they greet you.we had a slight problem with our room, and was moved to a poolside room, which was much better for me,and rectified very quickly.
We recently returned from a 4 night stay celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and our only wish was that it was longer. The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful and the staff are so wonderful.
We were very fortunate to be upgraded from a swim up room to a suite with private pool and it was out of this world and really enhanced our experience, we expect the swim up room experience would also be superb.
With such a short time we wanted to make the most of the pool and the beach and also to see a little of Kos town, so we only ate breakfast in the hotel and took service across at the beach, the food was excellent. A very special mention to Eric who caters for your needs on the hotels private beach, he looked after us so well.
Two very small points that cannot detract at all from the overall experience and rating. When guests arrive late (11pm) it would be nice to have something to eat available for them. And on the beach some of the larger rocks on entry to the sea could be removed - though we did find a nice little route in eventually.
We most certainly recommend this place to everyone, its like paradise and we hope to return.
This is a wonderful hotel, great, friendly and brilliant staff. The facilities are lovely, rooms are well equipped, a shop on site and reasonable prices for drinks. The buffet each evening is spectacular and Kos town is only a 2EUR ride away on the bus if you want to go out after dinner. The sea is just over the road, warm and shallow with plenty of sunbeds, they also have a drinks service there. Reception staff will help you hire bikes, cars and all staff can advise places to visit and everyone works with a smile on their face. This was our honeymoon and one of the best holidays I have ever had and definitely one we hope to repeat in the future!
