What a beautiful hotel and the staff and service are absolutely amazing (special thanks to Krystal). The rooms are modern and spacious, and laying by the pool is perfect place to relax. It’s walking distance to town centre but there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the hotels doorstep.

When you approach the front entrance of this hotel a member of staff comes out to extend a warm welcome and to assist with luggage. From that moment you are immediately aware that the care and attention that every member of staff offers is a matter of course. The hotel itself is well appointed, lovely grounds & pool, plus a private beach area from where you can order snacks/food if required and all of this with stunning sea views. The breakfasts are an absolute knock out. We happily walked into Lambi in the evenings as there is a broad range of restaurants there and the stroll there and back was a pleasure, maybe 15/20 mins. each way. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the messages from Paris with the chocolates on our pillow each night meant for sweet dreams. The Hotel Manager Kostas was charming , always around and his staff are a testament to his management skills. Special mention must also go to to Georgia and Kristal. A truly memorable stay.

Returned yesterday after an amazing week.Treated like royalty by every single member of staff (Alvin Georgia Maria Olga Donas the receptionists the bar staff and all the cleaners were 10/10) all under the keen eye of Kostas who clearly takes immense pride in his and his teams very high standards. Stunning interior and immaculate in all areas. A stroll into Kos but no issues for us as passed several bars/tavernas etc. Our rooms were visited twice a day for Towell changes etc. Gym spacious and well equipped and great indoor pool. Will return to Kos and Aqua Blue if just to thank the staff for giving us a holiday (and breakfasts to remember) .

In my opinion, the architecture of this hotel is beautiful and throughout the well furnished public areas, our room and the gardens were clean, tidy and well maintained. Most of the staff are well trained, helpful and engaging and are one of the main qualities of this hotel. The hotel is located on a headland with views out to sea with islands and Turkey in the distance. Due to this location, we had steady breezes for most of our stay which suited us but may not be for everyone. The pool and sun terraces are very nice with very comfortable sun beds and towels. The slightly remote location of the hotel is both its main attraction but with it being 30 mins walk or an 8 euro taxi ride into Kos town, also a negative. There is an unobtrusive small building over the road which from the smells coming from it I can only assume is some kind of drain/sewage treatment plant. Unfortunately if the breeze is in the wrong direction, some of the sunbathing areas are affected by these smells. I have already mentioned that most of the staff are an attribute to the hotel and as good a reason as any to return. However, some attention to detail is lacking by one or two of the waiting staff at breakfast. It can get busy but there are enough staff that there is no excuse for empty bowls and plates not to be cleared away when the guest has returned to the buffet for their next course. One morning, the waitress removed my knife and fork from my empty plate and put them on the table, ready for me to reuse - I have never experienced this before and was shocked that she didn't take them away and give me some more cutlery. We warmed more to this hotel as the holiday progressed and from saying after a couple of days that we probably wouldn't come back, by the end of the holiday, we felt sure we will probably return,

Dear TwoTravellers1927, We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review! We're so happy to hear that you found the architecture and grounds of the hotel beautiful, well maintained, and clean. We also appreciate your kind comments about our staff as it sets the tone for excellence in all that we do. We at Aqua Blu Boutique Hotel + Spa are passionate about providing all of our guests with outstanding experiences. With that in mind, it is disappointing to learn that we fell below standard at breakfast, and I cannot apologize enough for this. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted when we don’t meet expectations. Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will use the feedback to make us better and to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Moreover, whilst we are glad that you liked the hotel's location, we regret that the distance into the town of Kos was not of your convenience. Please allow me to note that our prime location offers direct access to our private beach with amazing sunsets that add to our relaxing ambience as it is away from the central and very busy streets. Moreover, it is truly disappointing to read that you experienced a displeasing odor in our premises. Please rest assured we will appeal to the municipal authority to take all the necessary measures to resolve the issue immediately. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope that you will notice an improvement when you next stay, and that you will have a 10/10 experience on your next visit. We look forward to welcoming you back! Warmest Regards, Kostas Zampetakis Hotel Manager

My Wife and I stayed here for a week from Sat 30th Sept 2023. Having taken a private taxi from Kos airport as part of the package we were treated to a very informative 30 mins journey including an agreed detour around the Kos Town Marina area by our driver Yannis who talked us through the key points of the area. Having arrived our cases were whisked away and we were seated in the hotel bar area by a receptionist who quickly checked us in. We were provided with a refreshing glass of Prosecco (non alcoholic drinks were offered) and soon were told our Suite with sea view - room 313 was ready for us. we were shown to our room and our bags were quickly delivered. This hotel has a prominent position on a Varner about 1.5km walk along a straight road from Lanni to Kos Town. We walked easily into Kos Town for dinner or shopping and back on many occasions during the week. It takes about 35 mins. Do watch out for the many rented cycles who use the cycle path next to the pavement on the left hand side of the road as you walk to Kos Town. The pool area where we sunbathed most days is clean and well served for drinks or food during the day by a number of the team Including the lovely Nicolita who served us with a smile. Quick shout out to other team members who made our week so relaxing. Costas the GM introduced himself when we checked in. His team are a credit to him and the hotel. Alvin and Olympia served our breakfast on the terrace of the hotel restaurant each morning. Roma as looked after the drinks station on the hotels beach which is reached by crossing the road. A special mention to Georgia who served our late afternoon and evening drinks from the hotel bar. Wendy in particular enjoyed a cocktail “Head Full of Berries”. In addition the hotel reception team always welcoming you each time we returned to the hotel or wishing us a pleasant time as we left. On our last night they eve managed to recover a mobile phone I had left in a taxi. Thank you all for making our week such fun. The breakfast is plentiful and varied with a choice of freshly cooked hot dish served to your table. I would say that the poached eggs whilst obviously super fresh were a little undercooked for my liking. Each morning we were offered freshly squeezed organs juice and minerals water and a choice of teas and coffees. We didn’t eat at Cuvee - the hotel’s much awarded restaurant but having eaten the hotels breakfast I can imagine it was tasty. Each week they offer a BBQ night and an Italian themed menu. One thing that was a lovely touch was the personalised note and Thought For The Day that they left with a small chocolate on our beds as part of the turndown service. This wasn’t the only personal touch though. We were welcomed to our room with a handwritten welcome letter from our GM. The pool was nice to cool off and the Ratana and aluminium sun beds were very comfortable to sunbathe from. Pool towels are provided each day by the Reception team. Each afternoon we were offered a small item of food a Bao Bun or Yogurt and granola We went by taxi to the mountain village of Zia on our last evening. Again reception were super helpful in organising a taxi there for us. We ate out each evening and really enjoyed the walk there and back with many bars and Tavernas to choose from if you don’t want to walk all the way. Istros was a Taverna we chose twice and I have separately reviewed. If you don’t fancy the walk all the way to Kos town there is a regular bus from about 50 metres walk towards town. Look out for the Green Bus. This is without doubt a vey high quality hotel with a great team working to make your holiday the best it can be. One note is that there was an unpleasant smell of drains around the corner of the pool on occasion. It soon passed and was noticeably absent on the beach. Not sure if this is something within the hotel’s control or not but it don’t stop us enjoying our holiday. Our room - a sea view suite No 313 was large and came with a lovely rainfall shower over a bath, plenty of towels changed daily. There is a separate loo with small sink. The air on kept our room at a nice temperature through the week. We has a large balcony with table and seats. It was warm enough to sit on the morning sunshine from about 7:30 am. There was a vet comfortable King Sized bed and pillow menu so you could choose how form you eMates them. A chaise long and huge flat screen TV were along one wall. One thing to mention is you can keep an eye on your hotel bill on a feature on the TV if needed. The wardrobe has about 12 wooden coat hangers, plenty of drawer space including for shoes. There was also a room safe to keep your valuables safe during your stay. As I mentioned earlier the hotel is kept spotlessly clean by the hotel staff. If you are looking for high quality accommodation just a short walk outside the hustle and bustle of Kos Town, Look no further! Highly recommended. Well done to the whole team.

This was our first time visiting Kos and the hotel and team at the Aqua Blu really made it an experience never to forget. Quite simply, this hotel is superb! It is modern with excellent rooms, a sauna, gym, and a nice pool area with more than enough loungers. All the staff are extremely helpful, attentive and friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. There are lots of nice touches as well, such as the managers (free) drinks night, complimentary lunch time greek yoghurt and nuts (on one occasion we were given a small but tasty, bao bun and burger) and the nightly, hand written, "thought of the day" messages left on your pillow. I can rate this hotel highly enough and we will certainly be returning.

We were in a room with it's own pool which was much bigger than expected but at a depth of 1m 50cm meant you could not stand in it and read your book (or in my case even stand up in it!) There is a very narrow walkway between the pools to get to the sun bed at the end. If you have mobility issues you probably won't be able to walk along the edge. The sunbed is in full sun for a lot of the day with very little shade which is such a shame and very easy for the hotel to fix. Breakfast is very good with an extensive menu that is cooked to order. The beach is across the road that is beside the public beach but that was never a problem for us. The location of the hotel means it is very windy on most days. 30/40 minute walk into Kos town which is well worth a visit or two. The hotel is also near several good bars and tavernas, so worth exploring. The main hotel pool is quite large (again depth 1m 50cm in most places). We went in September when the water was warm (heated by the sun).

Dear 166dl, we're delighted that you enjoyed your recent stay with us, as reflected in your 4/5 rating. It is great to know that you found our location convenient, we're sure that you had great time visiting some of the must-see attractions nearby. We're also glad that you took the chance to unwind at our beach and that you found our breakfast very extensive and good. On the other hand, I am concerned to read that your room did not entirely meet your expectations mostly as a result of the pool depth and lack of shade. We value all ideas and suggestions from our guests in order to incorporate improvements. With that in mind, we installed roller awnings over the sunbeds this year and I am sorry to read that in your experience this wasn't up to your satisfaction. Furthermore, allow me to note that our pool depth is in line with the health and safety requirements therefore, we would like to express our gratitude in advance for your understanding in this matter. Thank you again for providing us your feedback. We truly hope to have the chance to welcome you back in the future. Warmest Regards, Kostas Zampetakis Hotel Manager

My Wife and I have just returned from a week in Kos where we stayed at the Aqua Blue Boutique Hotel. The Hotel is listed as a member of the Small Hotels of the World, a journal which we have found features Hotels that suit our preferrences, once again we were delighted with its guidance. The Hotel is a stunning piece of architecture which makes the most of its location, the design of the interior, and the quality of materials used. The way that light is enabled to flow through the whole of the building as well as framing the superb aspect out across to the pool area and beyond to the Hotels private beach and the sea, have all been incorporated beautifully. We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View room (404) again the views were magnificent with the room having a double aspect balcony looking out across Lambi private beach towards the sea and the nearby islands. The Hotel Director, Kostas, is discretley at the centre of all Hotel activities, we saw him there at breakfast, afternoon and late evenings. He is ever present guiding and assisting guests with great places to visit on the island. We certainly benefitted from his knowledge and the excellent local restaurants he recommended which we would never have found by ourselves. He is always alongside his staff at breakfast and throughout the day, guiding staff, chatting with guests, providing assitance and making guests feel that they are central to the Hotels objectives. However I am sure Kostas will not mind my saying that the stars of the show at Aqua Blu are the staff themselves. They are all totally customer focused, without being too formal, have time to chat withhout forgetting other customer needs, friendly not just because its part of the job but simply because they are so friendly. Whatever team, be they - part of the front desk, poolside, reception services, bar services or at the private beach bar, the staff are exceptional, The food is first class, breakfast is always a treat, and the weekly barbeque is not to be missed. We watched chef and his team start preperation for the barbeque mid morning, the various dishes being slowly smoked to keep in the flavour. Served that evening around the poolside dining tables dinner was a memorable occasion. Like most people I do not usually write reviews, - you have probably spotted that already - however I really wanted to let anyone considering this Hotel for their next holiday to get a feel for Aqua Blu based on our experience, I hope I have done it justice, happy holidays

We chose this hotel to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary. Brilliant choice. Hotel gave us bottle of bubbly and nibbles aswell. Much appreciated. We chose a room with a private pool for the week. Fantastic. Just a shower in the room which we didn’t mind.I know other rooms have baths if you prefer this. Excellent shower. The pool slightly cold but didn’t stop us using it. Main pool chilly too. Only thing about our room 101 you had to get in the pool to access the bed, the other rooms had a small walkway. But excellent access from the main sunbathing via steps. We actually said we would select this room again as it made us go in the pool. We ate in the cuvée restaurant for our anniversary. Lovely food. Thank you to olga for her knowledge and service. We loved the sunbathing areas and the sundowners watching the sunset. Georgia and Maria special thanks. And thank you to Kristle and Alvin for their suberb service too. Kristle looked after us thru the day. A great cycle track to walk on every morning lovely walk. Then a great walk into Kos Town in the evenings. Lots of bars, tavernas and craft shops. We are in the bar too and the BBQ night. All good. Narrow beach lots of seaweed, but we stayed near our pool and enjoyed that. Location was great. Just far enough out to enjoy the walks. Lovely walk round the harbour too. Thoroughly loved our week and would stay again and also highly recommend.
