Wonderful luxurious hotel
Reviewed 4 days ago

We have just returned from our wonderful Kos holiday staying at the Aqua Blu Hotel. This is a truly amazing place where we were welcomed so warmly on arrival and looked after so well during our two week stay. Every member of staff works so hard and are so professional, genuinely friendly and made us feel very pampered and relaxed. The breakfast buffets are amazing, something for everyone, and endless cups of coffee and orange juice! We didn't eat in the Cuve restaurant but can highly recommend the cocktail reception and BBQ hosted by the hotel. We used the spa and had a facial and massage - definitely worth it. The hotel has its own section of Lambi Beach just across the road - we also spent time at Mylos Beach Bar just down the road. We did have a few daytime meals at the hotel by the pool which were very good, as were the espresso martinis in the evening. When we left the hotel to come home, it felt like we were leaving friends. We don't normally stay at the same hotel twice, but I think we will be back again very soon. We would recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you all once again

Nothing special

Booked this hotel after reading the reviews and felt it was a bit overrated. For a 5-star hotel, I was expecting better standards in the room. It all felt like Ikea and most of things were either chipped or scratched. The swimming pool area was very nice but the water was freezing so it was always empty. We had dinner in the fine dinning restaurant and it was good but very complicated for the setting. Location is very far from airport and town. If you are looking for a secluded area fine otherwise you will feel you are in the middle of nowhere. Very good breakfast

Absolute perfection!

This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in.
We came here for the first half of our honeymoon and the hotel did not hold back on making our trip truly memorable. And from looking around, I don’t think it was just because we were on our honeymoon but rather this was normal for the hotel.
The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was just impeccable and the small touches (turn down service, free gifts etc) just added to the whole experience.
The food is great - we didn’t eat in the more fine dining restaurant but the pool menu and breakfasts were amazing. The drinks selection and cocktails were also brilliant.
The hotel is superbly located about a half hour walk outside of Kos Town. I our opinion this was perfect as you can easily head into town for sights/food/drinks but then get away from the hustle and bustle.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - a superb trip!

Relaxing, excellent service and I'll have to come back again.

Came here on a couples holiday with my girlfriend (were 21 and 22) and this is now our last night. First of all, although it is already in the reviews it must be said how friendly the staff are. Every single member of staff makes an effort to speak to you and it all seems very natural to them, genuinely nice people!

In relation to the rooms they're very clean and spacious. Rooms are cleaned twice a day to a very high standard. Nice balcony with a great view of of the beach and sea. We only had a side sea view but that didn't bother us too much. The TV has mostly foreign channels but has sky news and of an evening shows some English films, also shows all the world cup games in room and restaurant which was a bonus for me! Bathrooms are quite strange as they're open planned so very little privacy. At first this was a bit of a shock but you soon get used to it. The shower is essentially in the room and you can be seen but I suppose it is an adult only hotel. Toilet has a sliding glass door, again not much privacy but if you're comfortable with who you're staying with it isn't an issue.

Onto the pool and restaurant. The pool is great there's always plenty of sunbeds and they're very comfortable with cushions. There are single sunbeds available or large ones which fit two people on. You can get waited on (food and drink) whilst on sunbeds or you can go into the very nice shaded lunch restaurant area where there's couches. The cocktails are 10 euros each rather than 7/8 like most places in kos but they are much nicer in the hotel it has to be said. The lunch menu I liked it wasn't huge but I got the Caesar salad which was fantastic and also pita bread with meatballs and feta cheese which was the best thing I had all holiday! The breakfasts are great so much choice and excellent service I'm sad tomorrow will be my last.

Kos town is quite quiet so I wouldn't come here if you're after a party environment but there's loads of restaurants around and most are very quiet. There are one or two nice bars too. We particularly enjoyed the blue Phoenix and the camel bar. Also you must go to lofaki restaurant on the top of the mountain it's fantastic for views when the sun sets.

Overall I'd recommend this hotel 100 percent. It's very relaxing, 20 seconds walk from the beach which we have a private area. Me and my girlfriend were particularly fond of one of the staff but we keep forgetting to ask for his name (he did mention he was from albania).

In terms of improvements I couldn't really think of any. The surrounding area isn't the height of luxury to say the least but that's not the hotels fault. Maybe the could turn the big white building near the private beach area into a beach bar of some sort?

Other than that it's perfect we are really sad to be leaving tomorrow but will 100 percent be back again at some point and I'll be recommending to everyone I know.

Gorgeous in every way

I stayed here for 10 nights alone (unexpectedly) at the end of June 2018, and had an absolutely wonderful time. All the reviews are correct and the staff are so friendly and really make you feel at home here. For someone travelling alone this made the world of difference to me. Maria especially went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and gave some great recommendations for places to eat!

The location is incredible - overlooking the sea, the pool is lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds. It’s a bit of a walk into Kos town and the harbour but it’s all flat and easy to navigate, with bars and tavernas along the way.

All the staff were incredible. I would have no doubt staying here again.

Thanks aqua blu for the most amazing 10 days 😊
