How to Get There
I went to the WA Trianon Palace with my dad. It was actually a ‘celebrating trip’ to Versailles because he is retired! We stayed at the hotel from January 27th until February 1st, our room number was 1238 (Pavilion building).
We flew from Seville to Orly-Sud and there we took the Orlyval to Antony, then we took the RER B to Saint-Michel–Notre Dame where, finally, we took the connection with the RER C to Versaille-Château/Rive Gauche. We ordered an Uber from the station to the hotel and it was only 6€.
The hotel location is perfect and the buildings and facilities are amazing! We went to the reception desk and Alice and Agustín checked us in. After that, Alice came with us to the Gallery and she explained us everything about the hotel, restaurants, the pavilion and the spa. They were very polite and friendly.
Before going to the room, we went to the Gallery Bar and we had lunch there. We met Thomas, who was our waiter few times during our stay and he was amazing! The room was big enough for two people and full-equipped: minibar, complimentary mineral water, Nespresso machine and coffee, Wi-Fi, information about the hotel facilities, in-bath amenities… and one very important thing for me: really comfy beds! Everything was perfect!
The Guerlain Spa is also wonderful. You can swim in the lovely and warm indoor pool and you can also get a really relaxing experience at the hammam and the sauna. People at the Guerlain desk, life guards and maids are very nice, they explain and help you about everything. I had to ask them for a new pair of slippers and they were so sweet!
Breakfast was included in our reservation. Breakfast time was very convenient for us because we had the tickets to visit the Château and the 'Domaine de Trianon' so it was great! La Véranda by Gordon Ramsay restaurant is where breakfast takes place everyday so we met all the crew during our stay. What to say? They are affectionate, amiable, kind, friendly, warm… awesome people! I would like to make a special mention to Jeanne, who received us every morning with a big smile, Yann, who was so courteous and attentive taking care of us as well as Eric, who is amazing, close and very friendly, Dimitri, who was amiable, sympathetic and nice, Eder, who is Mexican, was so nice as well and friendly, we talked in Spanish during breakfast time and it was a surprise, and finally, Gaetan, was also very helpful and nice.
You can find anything you’ll need or want for breakfast there! Pancakes, crêpes, cheese, different kinds of bread… Wonderful breakfast in a wonderful place with amazing people!
I also had dinner at the Gallery Bar one night, I ordered the Club Tradition sandwich, which was delicious, and I met Leon, he was diligent and obliging.
The concierge service is really helpful. Claire, who also speaks Spanish, and Nathalie were very nice. Claire explained us everything about the Château, the gardens and Versailles. She also printed us our tickets and boarding-passes. She was awesome! Thanks very much, Claire!
We also had dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Oh my God! It was like paradise! I have no words to describe that experience. Dinner was beyond perfect, GR crew was delightful and excellent. I would like to make another special mention to Mickael, Martino and Baudoin Arnould because they were excellent, without forget Joanna, the GR hostess, who was really close, friendly and gave us the surprise of guiding us in the kitchen and we also met Frédéric Larquemin! Oh my God! That was SUPER! Thank you, Joanna, for being such a lovely person because you made my day!
Finally, Laura, at the front desk checked us out. She was very polite and she asked us about our stay. It was a dream came true. Thank you for everything, Trianon Palace crew! It was WONDERFUL, everything was PERFECT. I will come back to visit you again because you made me feel part of you, you made me feel part the family!
The experience wasn’t bad. But I’ve been to hotels where both the service and the quality of the rooms were much higher at a much lower price, even in this area. Like any famous brand you pay more for the name. Good for one experience but I’d recommend other hotels in the area if anyone would ask.
Beautiful, luxurious hotel with an excellent location right next to the park at Versailles. Our room was in the main building and was lovely with a great bathroom. Nice Spa and pool albeit water a tad too warm for me. Loved the breakfasts. The staff were all fantastic. I confess we don't usually stay in hotels as luxurious as this (we had hilton points to use up) and while it was wonderful to stay somewhere so swish, the prices offend my little scottish heart. Dinner at the Veranda restaurant was ok but way overpriced for the quality. Eat out at half price at the many good restaurants in Versailles. But overall, lovely hotel.
The chateau-life has long gone. It's barely available in novels, movies and fairy tales. But who said dreamers wont be able to experience it? Simply think of Trianon Palace and find your way to a sublime property where doors to royal service and impeccable hotel facilities await for you. Dont dream further, go!
Stayed over the new year. A nice hotel and room was good, apart from the bathroom basin failing to work. The hotel was accommodating with a complementary breakfast.
It was a shame about the bar area. Its really a hallway with seating. Their is no bar as such except for the annex type bar that was closed ON NEW YEARS EVE. That was disappointing. The other complaint would be the new years eve restaurant menu at 395 euro set menu not including drinks/wine. The menu inclusive if wine was over 600 euro. Very strange for a four star hotel to be so unbalanced in this regard albeit new years. I stay in allot of 5 and 4 star hotels and it just hasn't achieved the right mix.
