How to Get There
We visit Trianon Palace regularly every year and always have very pleasant stay. Staff is very professional and helpful. Also, restaurants are very good in terms of food and service. Always having great time at Gordon Ramsey restaurant.
We spent 3 days here in October as part of a special anniversary trip and had a most wonderful time before moving on to Paris. At check-in we were upgraded to the 6th floor Terrace Suite- a spacious multi room suite with a magnificent view of both the hotel grounds and the Park with the Chateau visible from the terrace. A wonderful surprise and an unforgettable suite.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had so many selections that we would have need to stay longer to sample them all. The Veranda Café served us a wonderful dinner one night.
The staff here is multi-lingual, very polite, welcoming and truly caring. The Concierge helped us find the perfect restaurant in Versailles and gave us great tips for exploring the Palace grounds (rent a golf cart!). We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience thanks to the Waldorf Astoria, it’s staff and the delightful town of Versailles itself.
We stayed at The Waldorf Astoria in October for my partners birthday. The hotel is excellent and very much made to feel welcome by the staff. We dined at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant and the food is lovely if your travelling to Versailles to visit the palace then this is defiantly the hotel to stay. We will defiantly return.
Let me start by saying I'm usually in someplace more like an Ibis or Novotel or small B&B while in Europe, so this was a real splurge. We were upgraded to a king room on the 4th floor that overlooked the more informal, public spaces of the Versailles gardens. The room and bath were absolutely huge and the bed one of the most comfortable I've slept in. There is a beautiful indoor pool and spa. The staff are incredibly helpful and hospitable, as you would expect. The only downsides are that the hotel is bit of a long walk away from main shopping and dining areas, and that on-site options for dining are extremely expensive. The breakfast buffet, for example will set you back 29 euros a person if booked in advance, 38 if day of. And be very careful of expensive mini-bar purchases! Still, overall a beautiful hotel. To me the room was a worthwhile splurge.
Decided to stay a night (upon arriving Paris from Chicago) took a train (relatively easy) from CDG. Arrived around 2pm. Our room was ready upon arrival. We stayed in the main building which is beautiful! Check in was do pleasant! Our Argentinian born front desk staff (forgot his name) was so wonderful. Explaining amenities, hours and near by experiences. The hotel is literally next to the Gardens of Versailles and is a must see. Our room was perfect. King bed (2twin together but unnoticable) very comfortable, great closet space. Large bathroom with tub, heated floors and separate commode accomodations. Soft fluffy towel and robes along with every amenity you will find in your room. Again, we were only here for 1 night, but it served us well. We enjoyed a few cocktails and coffee in their bar area. The service here was second to none. Try the house specialty cocktail Wilyam! It is an art form in itself! The French Martini is the best I've had, and their "real" hot chocolate did not disappoint. Their breakfast, though we did not partake, looked amazing! Overall we had an amazing first night of our France honeymoon here and it couldn't have been better!
