A Stone’s Throw From the Palace

Very conveniently located for the Palace and has parking. Please bear in mind, however, that street parking off the main thoroughfares is free during August. We were in a superior room which was quiet, spacious and comfortable. Only a small lift so you have to be patient at times. No restaurant and the snacks advertised have now been discontinued. Breakfast is perfectly OK. The hotel is surrounded with places to eat. All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. All in all, a very pleasant and convenient place to stay for a short break in Versailles.

Great location - peaceful yet historical

Definitely, felt great history of this building right by the peaceful park of Versailles. You even could enjoy watching goat in the park. The building was old yet nicely maintained. Definitely elegant and quiet. You could enjoy the classical, historical visit of Versailles

The photos do NOT match the hotel!

This was one of our least favorite hotels in a month long trip. The view from your room is on a rather dismal courtyard.
They do have parking in an underground garage, but there is no real signage, and we walked the length of it twice. It was only in trying a couple doors - one of which closed behind us leaving us in the dark - Only our phone flashlights helped.
There is also a step up as you go in to that antechamber to the hotel ... I use a walker, so this unannounced step caused a major bruise on my ankle.
The room was plenty big by European standards, but the hallways were not.
The description leads you to believe you will almost be able to see the Gardens ... Nope.
If you've never been to Versailles, do more research about the layout.
For us, of all of our hotels, this was one of the worst because we felt bait and switch. It was also more expensive than a lot of the others we stayed in. offering so much less in amenities.
There is another really nice hotel in Versailles, if/when we return, they will get our business.
