How to Get There
Stayed at the hotel foe 2 nights in May. The weather was very hot and humid. We got room on the second floor facing the pool. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The only 2 drawbacks were;
1) air condition did not work properly both nights. We got to turn it off and slept in a very hot room.
2) breakfast. not so impressed. If possible, many restaurants nearby provide decent breakfast.
Had a lovely two-day stay in the VIP side. Breathtaking little boutique hotel. An oasis in the city. Perfect, walkable location. Authentic, spacious rooms and luxurious grounds. Highly recommended, and would go back in a heartbeat!
We spent 2 nights here in the VIP side and thought it a wonderful colonial style hotel - close to the centre and near restaurants and bars but quiet once inside. Alberto was so helpful with anything regarding our travels like directions, where to eat etc. A lovely pool after a hot days sight seeing.
We loved this small stylish boutique hotel and thought the price was very reasonable. Very comfortable room (3 I think) opening onto the pool. Good sleep comfy bed and good curtains. We were exhausted after an international move so a great sleep was paramount. Loved Merida and as others have said don't miss an early evening visit to nearby Negrita for live music.
A interesting old building with a lot of potential but it has definitely seen better days and it is looking rather tired We had a balcony room over looking the pool and garden which was spacious however the floor needed polishing and the chairs on the balcony were faded and rather uncomfortable and the rest of the furnishings were past their sell by date.The air con had two settings non existent and hurricane and the included “continental” breakfast was pretty basic .In short it could be a really nice place to stay after a refurbishment but definitely not 3* boutique.
