Overview

Contemporary island getaway perched on a white sand beach

The Lowdown

Situated on arguably the best beach on the laid-back island of Isla Mujeres, this 124-room resort is a great microcosm of the island itself; Isla Mujeres is all about chilling at the beach and picking from a plethora of great local restaurants. On the property, there’s the white-sand beach of Playa Norte, an expansive pool area for maximum relaxation, Spa Mystique for massages and treatments based on ancient rituals, and three restaurants: the elegant beachfront Café del Mar, Sabor serving up local fare, and Satay, which specializes in Thai and Oriental food. The resort offers all-inclusive or breakfast-only plans so guests can indulge as much or as little as they want.

In the Area

Less than five miles long, Isla Mujeres is just a short ferry ride from Cancun. Its location floating in the Caribbean Sea makes it a dream for snorkeling, kayaking, or swimming with the dolphins at Garrafon Natural Reef Park. Come evening, stroll Hidalgo Ave or Guerrero Ave to check out the local nightspots—La Adelita is a popular favorite.

Great vacation!!

Everything was really great. My only issue was warm beer. They need a better system to keep beer cold throughout the day. Room was great and enjoyed the food! The beach was enjoyable and the water beautiful!!!

Best bang for the buck on Isla Mujeres

What does Privilege Aluxes have to offer? A great environment to chill out and relax. A boutique hotel experience on a mid-sized property. A great location close to downtown and the ferry. Beautiful beach with chaise lounge chairs and shady palapas. A beach front restaurant with delicious food, a beautiful view and great service.

The resort is in a great location for exploring the island, it's situated right at the end of Hidalgo Street where there are bars, restaurants and shops. A concierge is on site and available to handle cart rentals and tours. The food is consistently good. 24 hour room service is available. The staff and service are remarkable.

The property is well maintained. The resort is not too big and not too small. Never felt crowded. Beach front and pool chairs always available. To sum it up. This is the only resort that we've been to on numerous occasions. While it may not be for everybody, it's a great place to relax, soak up the sun and enjoy some true Mexican hospitality.

Always a great stay

Nice resort but service wasnt great

Lovely resort, nice pool, location & the beach club is awesome however the service wasnt great. We had a booking for three however when we went to our room we had to ring up to request the trundle bed be made up. The shower also leaked every day out onto the bathroom floor & out the door of the bathroom. We requested extra towells on our first night to mop up & reported it. The towells never arrived & maintenance never came too look at it. Couple of near slips onto hard floors. Very dangerous and not acceptable for a 5 star resort. The housemaids also banged on our door every morning at 8am and let themself in. Too early to be entering someones room. housemaid service should be done later in the day. The receptionist was also consistently rude. The conciege however was very helpful.
