Situated on arguably the best beach on the laid-back island of Isla Mujeres, this 124-room resort is a great microcosm of the island itself; Isla Mujeres is all about chilling at the beach and picking from a plethora of great local restaurants. On the property, there’s the white-sand beach of Playa Norte, an expansive pool area for maximum relaxation, Spa Mystique for massages and treatments based on ancient rituals, and three restaurants: the elegant beachfront Café del Mar, Sabor serving up local fare, and Satay, which specializes in Thai and Oriental food. The resort offers all-inclusive or breakfast-only plans so guests can indulge as much or as little as they want.
In the Area
Less than five miles long, Isla Mujeres is just a short ferry ride from Cancun. Its location floating in the Caribbean Sea makes it a dream for snorkeling, kayaking, or swimming with the dolphins at Garrafon Natural Reef Park. Come evening, stroll Hidalgo Ave or Guerrero Ave to check out the local nightspots—La Adelita is a popular favorite.

Heaven on earth!!
We stayed for 10 days in February---too long----breakfast buffet just OK
seafood buffet terrible and not like the ad
suite very sterile without any dishes--siverware etc
if we go again--different hotel---the ads and pictures do not portray the actual location
Overall Privilege did a fantastic job. We did have a few small complaints like no English Channels on TV, no news paper (USA Today) in lobby but their attention to making our stay enjoyable was very good.
My wife and I stayed 7 nights at Privilege Aluxes and enjoyed our entire stay. We have stayed at the Aluxes previously and would stay again and again. It is now all adult, a change since our last visit. I would highly recommend this hotel. The beach is fantastic and the plentiful beach chairs are comfortable and right on the water. The hotel and bar offer excellent food and drinks, both at the pool and beach. The pool area was very nice, clean and never crowded. The staff is fantastic. The customer service displayed by the reception personnel was unbeatable. Jesus was still there in reception, remembered us, and was very friendly and took great care to see that our trip was enjoyable. The staff at the complimentary breakfast were all very friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed having breakfast there each morning and the breakfast was very fresh and tasty. Our room was a large suite with a great view of the town and ocean. The room was kept very clean. . The shower water was always hot and had great pressure and bath room was spacious. The mini bar was restocked daily with water, beer and soft drinks. The AC was very good. Overall the staff was excellent and I am writing this review as a tribute to their service as well as to recommend this hotel to future visitors to Isla Mujeres. We used Canadian Transfers to get to the ferry terminal and back from the Cancun Airport. It was good service and reasonable. The location of the hotel is perfect. It was great to be steps away from the beach and steps away from downtown restaurants and stores. We did not go all-inclusive, breakfast was included, as part of the experience on this island is visiting the local food stands, stores, and restaurants. We normally stay all-inclusive but we elected to go non inclusive this trip because we enjoy exploring the great little cafes and bars in the town.We enjoyed the Mexican fresh fruit and hot dog stands down the street, the churros stands in the square, and fresh lobster at the Miramar on the beach just past the ferry dock, and a place called Coco Nuts Great coconut scrimp). Beach massages are very good, professional, and inexpensive. The spa at the hotel has been remodeled and now includes a first class sauna, steam room and shower area, was also very good and reasonable and an exercise room was available if you did not get enough exercise walking the beach and to town. We enjoyed our stay at Privilege Aluxes and will stay there again next visit.
Room tip: Upper room floors in building 3 were all very nice.
We just returned home from our 4th visit to Privilege Aluxis and our stay was again outstanding. From the wonderfully attentive staff members to the beautiful property to the attention to detail and our comfort, things could not have been better. We look forward to returning again for our 5th visit.
