The folks at Stage Neck Inn know just what travelers who choose this York Harbor location are looking for: a taste of true Northeastern charm and laid-back coastal living, clambakes and all. There’s no valet or flashy lobby here — just a friendly welcome from the knowledgeable staff at the front desk. You’ll feel the boutique resort’s innate warmth and quaint style immediately. Antique floral printed sofas are placed in front of a fireplace, around which tea and cookies are served every afternoon.
Bed & Bath
The 58 spacious guestrooms are simply appointed, but most have private patios and balconies and gorgeous views of the ocean. All the home comforts are present (free WiFi, DVD players, coffee makers, small fridges and more), and the simple bathrooms have walk-in showers or deep tubs. Trust us, when you throw open the windows and smell the salty sea air, you won’t miss designer toiletries.
After a day of antiquing or wandering through town, a drink in the cozy hotel bar is a welcome warm up to dinner at on-site restaurant, Harbor Porches. Expect such hearty New England dishes as oyster po’boy, spicy lamb rack and Maine lobster rolls in the open-plan dining room, and a traditional buffet breakfast with a coastline view every morning. The indoor pool and small fitness center are open year round, and the seasonal outdoor pool reopens in late June.
How to Get There
We stayed in the Oceanfront King deluxe room. The room was equipped with everything we needed from a Keurig, to plush robes. The balcony was wonderful and the bedding was lush. The overall resort was very nice. The pool was lovely and the location was amazing. The onsite restaurant was great too. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. You definitely don't want to skip this! This was our first stop on our trip up the coast of Maine and this was a lovely spot to begin our journey!
This was the second “Ladies’ Trip” at Stage Neck Inn and it exceeded expectations again! The customer service was exceptional, location could not have been better, and I look forward to a return trip.
Amazingly awesomeness. Don’t miss this one! Great people. Awesome view. Nice rooms. Sauna most excellent. Location was very very good. This is definitely one in which my wife and I will return. Even the restaurant was a very pleasant experience. Can’t say enough good things things.
We had driven by the Stage Neck Inn different times in our trips to Maine believing that we needed to go sometime. Well, that 'sometime' arrived. It was my husband's birthday and I decided to book a 'Getaway Package' for an overnight. What a delight when we actually experienced the beautiful views from all sides of the Inn and especially from the restaurant. The hospitality was attentive, friendly and special. Our 4 course meal was so delicious from course to course. When we got to the dessert we were so full but didn't want to miss out. Our waitress informed us that she would pack it up on a tray so we could bring it back to our room. As we returned to our room we had 'turn down service' and the lights around the ceiling gave such a lovely ambiance as our chocolates on our bed and curtains where drawn. We relaxed a bit and soon enjoyed our coffee (keurig in our room) with our scrumptious desserts. We highly recommend this gem. It is on the pricey side; however, for a special occasion it is worth it!
A great spot/ value for a break from the everyday. Great location with ocean & river views, very friendly service, hotel is immaculate with lots of charm & amenities. Lovely walks just out the door, good food. Loved it.
