Exceptional Stay

This was my wife and I’s second stay at the Iron Horse Hotel, I’m happy to say the property has only improved over the years. New improvements were made to their outdoor patio, a new restaurant was added, and the exceptional service remained. We’ve previously know Iron Horse to be a bit on the pricey side but they’ve added happy hour specials and outlets with a myriad of options. We stayed with our dog and the staff was extremely accommodating with helping with our crate, luggage, and make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend a room on the 6th floor. Special thanks to Keanan, Jay, Lance, and the rest of the staff that made our stay exceptional.

Wonderful spot!

Such a great hotel, beautiful decor and room amenities, and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again - its in a great location as well! The lobby was conducive for working, and the room was very relaxing. The bathroom felt like a spa too!

Surprise Birthday stay

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend, and take him someplace special to celebrate and ease his stress of turning 59. I live just 20 minutes west of Milwaukee, and am an advocate of exploring where you live, and 'Being a visitor in your own home town'. There are many wonderful areas of Milwaukee to experience: Third Ward, Downtown, Bayview, Riverwest and First Ward, to name a few. I have been to the Iron Horse several times to drink and dine at Branded and their outdoor 'Yard' area in the summer, of which I have enjoyed the atmosphere, urban setting and creative energy.

This visit, however, trumps them all.

After finding a great 'Fabulous fall' package, I booked our room for one night. I called to ask a few additional questions, and Stephanie at the hotel was very informative. The day before our arrival, I called to confirm our reservation. I had the pleasure of talking with Veronica at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very special. We qualified for a complimentary room upgrade, and Veronica put us in a corner king suite, high level. She also asked what else I would like in the room to celebrate and Birthday man.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly by Veronica at the front desk, she checked us in, chatted a bit and offered us a welcome beverage. With eager anticipation we went up to our 5th floor room, and were blown away from the moment we opened the door. The room was generous and outstanding, great views and there were little treasures awaiting him: Craft beers, a cheese board, chocolates and bottled waters. Needless to say, he was ecstatic and we loved everything about the room: Exposed brick walls, industrial and urban theme, pony skin bench, great furniture and wall mural, expansive bathroom and awesome views of the city. The bed was a lusciously comfortable King that enveloped you as you laid in it.

Later that evening we took a quick Uber to the Fiserv Forum for a Bucks game, however we could have easily stayed at the hotel to further enjoy the room, amenities and surroundings. The area around Iron Horse has craft breweries, Distillery and bar/restaurants, within walking distance.

Breakfast was included with our package, and I had an interesting and delicious Savory Grits, kale and poached egg breakfast.

Veronica was there in the morning to greet us again and asked how our stay was, and if there was anything else we needed. I honestly don't know what else she could have done to make our stay any better! THANK YOU!

I look forward to our return.

-Side note: They did let me know that there are railroad tracks along the north side of the building. We only heard some boxcars moving about 11:30pm, and it actually was a neat sound to lull us to sleep. (however they do have earplugs in the room, if you wish to use them)
