How to Get There
My daughter and I were in Milwaukee for the USA weightlifting championships Dec 6 - 9. Upon first blush, hotel is impressive with its grand lobby. Front desk staff is very helpful. Dining room waitstaff did a good job as well. But rooms, which are mostly clean, are worn and tired. Tub shower drain backed up and did not drain. That was gross. Maintenance did fix it right away. The bathroom walls and underneath the sink (where the clean towels are stored) is just spotted with dried on soapy splashes from use. Yuck. Bed comforter had a little bit of a blood stain. And day 2 of our stay, our room was not cleaned. In summary, I give higher marks to the staff, but the room itself was just average.
This hotel is ok, nothing great. When we checked in, we had reservations for 2 beds, they told us that they only had a king room, when we started to complain they magically came up with a 2 bed. Day before we left cards wouldn't work in the door had to go to front desk to get them working. That same day they didn't clean our room so at 6:30 p.m. called and had to leave our room so they could clean it. Restaurants food is just ok. Breakfast buffet is pricey for mediocre food.
very pleasant place to stay the only thing is that thier front desk never answer their phone it took us 1 hour everyday of our stay usually around 7am-9am before someone answers, already voiced our concern to vip manager to take care of this situation for better stay for other guest, also housekeeping very lazy and left half trash in our room after taking it out to empty it was came back to our room still with trash in it very disappointing on housekeeping end hopefully all of this matters gets resolved to make it a pleasant stay for others in the future
Experience was on par for a convention center linked hotel. Not exceptional but good for its value and connected via sky walk for winter event to convention center kept us from having to bundle up!. The food was not too special.
It was wonderful from the beginning! We didn't have it on our card what they needed for incidentals and knew we wouldn't be using it. The front desk asst. took it from $50 a day to a one day $25. So accommodating, friendly and downright wonderful. Gift shop with a Starbucks! YES! Breakfast Buffett was amazing... ok $18 pp BUT... we ate well, healthy, comfortably and was able to take coffee to go that was really good. Bagel to go, banana, etc. Beautiful!
