How to Get There
Great location. Stayed here for 2 nights to see a Brewers game. Had a nice room on 14th floor in the newer section of the hotel. Beds were super comfy, but bathroom was a bit small. Lobby is beautiful and historic looking. And don’t forget to visit Millie, the canine concierge who was a sweet pup.
Would stay here again.
We stayed at hilton for 4 days. Great location and room. We were on upper floor with nice views and you can walk everywhere. A good value. Easy walking to downtown, kuseums, public libaray and cool third ward. Readonably priced. Chop house restaurant in hotel is great for happy hour!
Really like the location of this hotel. We took the train from Minneapolis to Milwaukee for a baseball getaway. This hotel is about 3 blocks from the train station, and is in walking distance to the Riverwalk. There is a Starbucks and a bar and grill on site. The bar and grill offers a free shuttle to Miller Park if you make a purchase. If that purchase is a drink you can take it on the shuttle with you. Check in was smooth and the front desk staff was excellent. The information or concierge desk staff was not as impressive. We asked if there was a shuttle to the Amtrak station and the response we got was "of course not, it's only 3 blocks away". We were aware of this, as that is why we booked here, but it was raining and we were carrying bags. Not a big deal that there wasn't a shuttle, just didn't appreciate the rude attitude. The hotel lobby is historic and beautiful, but the rooms are dated. The carpet in our room was stained, but overall the room was clean. The bedding and mattresses were not very comfortable, and the walls are a little thin as we could hear the people next door and I don't feel like they were being loud. Overall it was a good stay, but we'll probably try on of the other nearby hotels next time
I expected more from a Hilton. Everything was very dated. The rooms are small and look old. Our bathroom light was out. Had to call for a sheet change. The room service was really good but for the price paid, I expected more.
We recently spent four days in Milwaukee catching a Twins/Brewers game at Miller Park and then visiting Summerfest for a couple of days. We stayed at the Hilton, which was fantastic, except for the not-so-cool air conditioning. Our room never really felt like it cooled down sufficiently even though we had it set at 63 degrees. Also, the time we spent in the bar was also stuffy, even in the morning, when you'd think it'd be cooler since the temperature was a little more reasonable. Otherwise, our experience was pretty great. The staff was wonderful, the hotel is beautiful and I think I had the best pancakes I ever had at the Cafe. The breakfast food at the Cafe was excellent but the buffet was overpriced, unless you're a big eater. My husband and I are not, and, since it was so hot, it wasn't all that easy to even eat much. But, the amount of food you get even ordering off the menu is more than sufficient. The service was also fantastic as was all the service we received at the hotel. We will definitely stay here again, despite the air conditioning issue.
