How to Get There
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for our anniversary with our dog. They were amazing from the minute we walked through the door. Room was beautiful. They treated our dog like a king as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner was one of the best. In room service was great as well. We will return.
We enjoyed celebrating a birthday with a short stay at the Delafield Hotel. The property is very nicely decorated and the rooms are very roomy and nicely decorated. Excellent shower/tub! The restaurant I.D. is so fun! Lots of interesting things you don't find anywhere else, and they change regularly. The small plates are the way to go. The only criticism is that the A/V in the rooms are difficult to use, but since there are so many nice other little places to hang out in easy walking distance, it's not an issue.
We came to attend a concert at Alpine Misic Theatre. It was about 40 minutes away. Our stay at the hotel was fine. Staff wasn’t overly friendly. Room was nice. Mini bar was kind of silly. It should have been included in the price of the room considering it was pricey.
My daughter and I stayed at the hotel the evening before her baby shower. We loved the entire weekend our room was perfect. The decor is lovely. The staff was absolutely perfect! We had dinner at i.d and that was excellent along with our waiter...young gentlemen with a beard..he was great!!!! The shower was also perfect the next day. Everything was lovely and the food was great. Thank you to the entire staff!!!! Kim and Hannah thank you.
My reason for Very Good and not Excellent is mainly the service and staff. I was paying for my room and two other rooms for family members. I called ahead and again expressed my wishes at check in that I was paying the bill and not to let my family members pay for their rooms. I was assured that this would be taken care of. Not so with one my family's rooms. It was unfortunate that my brother was left feeling unsure if I was still paying the bill. It is also odd to come and go in a boutique hotel and be seen by staff and not greeted. This is especially rude when entering via the main door and crossing in front of the front desk without other guests present and not receiving a high or hello or welcome back.
Also, it would be better to not allow the restaurant staff (restaurant located in your hotel or the banquet staff) to dump glass bottles into the hotel recycle bin at closing time on a Saturday night as this wakes up your guests with rooms near the bins. Really loud!
The rooms, bed linens and decor are excellent. Fantastic room darkening or just light filtering window treatments in the rooms. Bathroom lovely. I hope the hotel considers improving towel quality to match the quality of the guest robes and other amenities.
Delafield is a lovely and very charming town. Very nice stay.
