How to Get There
Our group of nine flew in from Toronto for business and stayed at the Delafield Hotel for one fabulous night.
First of all the town is very quaint and beautiful. The hotel's grounds were lush green as spring was fully aboard and trees and flowers were in bloom.
You can see the hotel as you turn off from the highway. The hotel itself is majestic as you pull into the parking lot. Front desk was very professional and extremely helpful. You can tell that the staff take great pride in keeping the hotel clean and beautiful. The art work and furnishings were extremely interesting as it was not your cookie-cutter run-of-the-mill decor.
The restaurant was beautiful and amazing (check out my review of I.D. in the restaurant section). My room was on the third floor in a alcove with two other rooms. Outside my room was a sitting room with a nice leather couch, coffee table, huge 80"??) flatscreen tv on the wall and another table to sit at. Wow, I had my large room as well as this really cool sitting area outside the room. Never seen this set up before but I loved it.
The room was extremely clean and very well appointed. It was spacious and charming all at the same time. You could enjoy the bar items or a snack if you wanted. The washroom was big and beautiful with a jetted tub and extra large shower with jets and a rain shower head. I know others have commented on the shower but I have say that arguably that may have been the best shower I've ever had!!! Towels were fresh, white and plush.
Bed was amazing and I loved the fact I could open the window at night for some a fresh clean Wisconsin country breeze.
The only thing that I didn't like (but that's my own preference) was that I felt all six of my pillows were too hard.
One day my family and I will return to this beautiful area and enjoy the Delafield Hotel for longer than one night.
My sister had her wedding shower here and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff was so accommodating and wonderful. We were mostly in ID ( the restaurant in the hotel ) and the food was incredible. The location is great if you want to walk around the town of Delafield and check out shops, cafes, go on a walk etc. Highly recommend!
We just called to make a reservation and we were told our gift certificate was no longer valid. Hmmmmmmm....there is absolutely no expiration date on this card at all and we got this as a gift! How do you think the poeple who gave us this gift would feel, especially knowing that Josh who answered the phone just kept saying nope, sorry. This is 110% poor customer service that you wont honor our certificate because you have had a management change, not sure how I see that to be my problem and why we would get punished for it.
Large rooms with high end amenities. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, free wifi, rainfall shower, and jacuzzi bathtub. Friendly staff that goes above and beyond. Highly recommended to anyone traveling to the Milwaukee area.
We stayed 2 nights with our plan to hike in the Kettle Moraine area. I must say the hotel is a great surprise. We stayed in a standard room that was huge, with lovely appointments throughout. A couch sitting area with a desk and separate wall mounted flat screen included! The bed, amazinging plush with its own wall flatscreen. Oh, both were 'smart' tvs that have Netflix capabilities so bring your password!
Our title mentions dogs allowed and the staff go out of their way to welcome your fur pal. Bed, bowls, treats and a squeeky toy await them in your room. I think we surprised the staff with our 95 lbs German Shepherd, but the were so nice to her greeting us everytime we came into the hotel. On a side note, she really found the elevator interesting...
So to close, if your looking for a great hotel experience don't overlook the Delafield Hotel. The staff and property definitely earn their reviews!!!!
