With its towering skyscrapers and glittering skyline, Kuala Lumpur maintains a cosmopolitan facade. But push away the impersonal glamour, and you’ll find a melting pot of cultures just under the surface. Hidden streets with glorious street-food stalls, opulent mosques and temples sitting side by side and bustling street markets are just some of the intriguing spots to explore next to the plethora of modern shopping centers.
At ANSA Kuala Lumpur, you’ll be at the heart of it all. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Bukit Bintang Monorail Station, the quickest way to avoid the city’s famous traffic jams, and a short stroll from shopping centers such as Lot 10 and Fahrenheit 88. If you’re looking for a more upscale shopping playground, take another five-minute stroll to Pavilion Shopping Centre and Starhill Gallery. But if you’re here to explore the city’s cultural side, Jalan Alor, famous for its street-food stalls, is just 10 minutes away on foot.
How to Get There
We stayed there only for one night but the experience that we found was perfect. Location is very strategic and easy access to everywhere and you may get easily by walking! A lot of shopping center surround the hotel and food stall.
The room was big enough and good amenities as well. I personally would recommend this hotel to my colleagues if anyone wants to stay in KL. Well done!
This hotel came highly recommended by my relatives and it sure did not disappoint, especially since it was priced slightly below MYR300. At check-in, I was told by the friendly receptionist that I was being upgraded which doesn’t happen often if you didn’t book directly with the hotel.
The room was clean, bright and modern, and I particularly liked the light wood furnishings that made for a calming ambience. There was also plenty of storage, including a deep drawer tucked cleverly below the window sill.
The bathroom is perfect for families, as the shower and toilet are in separate cubicles with frosted glass, with the sink occupying a separate space as well. This means that 3 people can use the bathroom at the same time without sacrificing privacy.
Location is excellent as it’s in the heart of Bukit Bintang, nestled among the area’s many malls and the street food at Jalan Alor. Public transport is excellent too as there is a monorail station and MRT station both located on the same street. There’s a Starbucks and an upscale Thai restaurant from Bangkok at the hotel lobby, as well as a 7-Eleven and take-away food stalls located just outside of the hotel.
The hotel is in good location, with Starbucks and money changer very nearby. No need to get breakfast because there are restaurants and convenient store at doorstep. We were traveling with friends and we enjoyed it very much. Public transport also nearby. Thumbs up for location.
Will be staying here for 2 nights, having trouble sleeping because the noise from the clubs nearby are just too loud and the honks from passing traffic is just unbearable. Location wise it is good. If you have no problem sleeping in a noisy environment then it is ok to book this hotel.
Although located at the shopping area, it is particular very quite once you are in the hotel premises. Room were quite spacious, breakfast was ok. Opposite of Grand Millenium and near Pavillion shopping center. STaff were ok.
