How to Get There
Pooh Bear/Jamari was the best! Excellent activity leader, kept the wedding party involved and laughing all night. Highly recommend! Pooh Bear is the jam, great night. Book him, you won’t regret it! Resort is great but if you have an event book Jamari.
Pooh Bear was awesome! Great entertainment for my sister's wedding. Played some fun games and got everyone involved. The rest of the staff was on top of the food and drinks. Sandals and Beaches more than exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend!
I really don’t know where to begin. I realize a lot of people love this resort and continually return. This was our second Sandals trip - Barbados being the first one in February 2017. So because we booked a Club room in Barbados we decided to upgrade to a Butler suite in Negril. Room: We had a P1 category room and location was great (crystal lagoon area) but that’s where it ends. The room was so dated compared to the Club rooms in the Paradise Beachfront Village. Dirty ceiling fans, dresser drawers that were stuck and very hard to open. Only one fan working in bathroom and let’s discuss the fly colony growing in the sink in the drain in addition to other small insects that were found in other areas of the room. Our patio shutter broke about 3 days in and we notified our butler but it never got fixed. So we had to squeeze through one door if we wanted to use our balcony. Wifi: Wifi barely works and kicks out often in this area of the resort. Our butler upon arrival even had trouble trying to use the iPad for check in. Food/drink: My husband prefers to drink Grey Goose vodka and we asked three time’s from three different people and they could not get it for us. It’s not like it’s not available on the Island. Duty free at the airport sells it, fairly inexpensive too. I asked for lemon slices and apparently lemons don’t exist either on the island. Most of the food was fantastic except our last night at Bayside Restaurant. I ordered cordon bleu- no ham inside and cheese was hard. Staff: our butlers Sean and Denato were great. Had our chairs and drinks ready every day. Brought drinks and lunch to us without even asking. Other staff was friendly too.
Definitely not impressed with how long it took the staff to address a frat like party (screaming, yelling, loud music) that was happening outside our room on the first floor late one night (after 11pm). There is a piano bar and another central bar that is open until 2am or take it inside your room so options were available to them. We were not the only ones that complained after speaking to the manager the next day and knowing that I don’t know why took over half and hour to have them stop. If it’s an adults only resort then I expect people to act like adults.
Overall we are not impressed for the price we paid to stay at this resort in a Butler suite nonetheless. We won’t be booking again and I mentioned this to at least 3 staff members that asked how our trip was. No one seemed to care about our concerns therefore we don’t care to return to any of their resorts.
