We just came back from Sandals Negril and the experience was spectacular. This is our first Sandals stay and exceed our expectations. More than everything, the resort staff made the difference. Once the staff knew that we are there for our 25th anniversary, they made everything special. The room was decorated with balloons, rose petals remembered our early marriage days. Special thanks to Neno, genuinely good man! We paid for candle light dinner, the arrangement was so nice. Dont miss that, you will not repent. Photo shoot was also worth it. Room: We wanted a direct access to the beach, so we stayed in Longshore Beachfront Grande Luxe Club Level Room w/ Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub. Within 40 feet, we have the beach, we enjoyed daily walks in the morning and evening. Food: The best restaurant is Brava (Spanish cuisine) and the next is Sundowner (Carribean cuisine). Thanks to Orlando, got us special cocktails, ask for Bob Marley, you will love it. Remember, this is more like a low key, laid back but still lively Sandals. If you want more closer to action, try out Sandals Sandy Bay. Photos: We booked free photo shoot and Jermaine is the man. He really cares, and helps with the poses. Dont miss that and book it in advance. Even though they sell the photos (expensive), these are memories and should not hesitate to buy a few. A professional photographer is always better than asking someone to take a picture in your iphone. Pictures came out extremely good. Jamaica in general: People are friendly, as long as you respect them, be polite it will be ok. There is rich culture, try to learn that. Day trips: DONT GO TO RICK"S CAFE. There is nothing there, hot sun, too much crowd. If you want to do deep water jumps, then it is worth it. Otherwise, you will have better sunset views from the beach at Sandals. We also booked through Island Tours and went to Jamwest (30-40 min from Sandals) for ATV and Horse Rides. We took the 8am trip and we are back by 1.30. The place is reasonable, management is terrific, no wait time to be picked up between the rides and the attractions are good. Remember to take some cash, they are heavily focused on tips. Dont go to mineral bath, me and my wife got rashes all over the body. A small bird sanctuary is good, dont miss that. Parrots will land on your hands and watching them eat food so quickly is fun. Overall: Sandals Negril is a thin but long resort located on the 7 mile beach, well maintained, great staff, clean and laid back place. The only problem is airport ride is 1.15 minutes, but we can take that to get a good resort experience. Good luck and safe travels.…
