Loved it!

My first time in Jamaica and I absolutely loved it. On arrival we was greeted with a warm welcome and some rum punch, follow by fast check in and escorted to our rooms with help with the suitcase. The room was immaculate and up to date decor all around the hotel! The room had two double beds pushed together, followed by LOTS of free space, balcony, shower, two sinks and our own bar and fridge which was refilled daily with no extra charge. The maids would come in twice a day to clean the room and freshen up the towels and then would come again in the evening to set the bed ready for us to get into!
Any issues I did have the reception staff were VERY helpful and came to our assistance straight away and even rang the room to check following it up. The food was great in hotel especially breakfast, that was my favourite. Only downside was because it wasn’t peak season the additional restaurants were only open certain days and not every night, but we tried the steak how which was also gorgeous. All alcoholic drinks were included which was good, the cocktails were amazing! An aspect that topped this hotel off was the entertainment team, friendly and VERY good at their job, talented individuals to say the least! Came and checked in with us every day and offered us lots to do. Night time they also put on a great shows and entertainment for everyone and got everyone involved where they could! Other aspects which were amazing was the beach front location with a beautiful beach, beach towels provided at the hotel and willing to change them whenever needed, pool bar, friendly atmosphere and good weather!
I will defiantly be returning to Jamaica, I don’t want to be someone who returns the the same resorts however due to this experience it may be impossible not too! Thank you for an amazing trip ????????????

Top service and amazing staff

We are currently holidaying here from the uk, the customer service here is the best I’ve had in any of my Riu holidays. It really doesn’t matter if you tip or not. But if you do, the odd dollar here and there makes the difference to the staff who work incredibly hard for very little. The front reception will change dollars in to 1 dollar bills.

The weather has been really good, it’s really
Hot here but everyday around 2pm the
Clouds roll in and wow does it rain, more often than not it passes within 10 minutes or so.

As already posted you are a couple
Of hours away from any trips but they are worth the effort. We did the Appleton rum - YS falls and pelican bar tour and give that a 10/10. At the falls we allowed a guide to take just my husband and I through the falls, which made it safe. He took some incredible
Photos and video with my phone for 5 dollars. Pelican bar had a fab vibe and we were very
Lucky with the weather.
We also did ricks bar by catamaran with a snorkelling stop out on a coral reef .

We normally avoid the entertainment like the plague but these guys do an incredible job. I think the difference has been they really inject a Jamaican reggae feel into the shows. Reggae bands play regularly.

The food is typical riu, good quality with the usual themed restaurants.

The beach is one of the nicest I’ve had the
Pleasure of, the sea is warm and so clear, there are a few fish about if you snorkel. The beach vendors are ever Present but are very respectful of a polite no.

Jerk chicken for lunch is a must! There’s also an air Conditioned bar upstairs in the reception. Top brand spirits.

Perfect Honeymoon

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days for our honeymoon. We had the perfect room overlooking the beach. The only possible downside to this could be that you have to use the stairs to get to the third floor, which we actually liked. The bed was somewhat hard and if we had been staying longer we would have requested a mattress topper. The room was always kept clean and the minibar and everything in the bathroom were always restocked. The beach was gorgeous. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, always asking how things were and if they could help make anything better. The food at the buffet for breakfast was pretty good, but we typically did the specialty restaurants which were AMAZING. We didn't have to wait at any of them and the food was SO good. The portions were a little small, but if you asked ahead of time for some extra they were happy to give it to you. Our favorite food by far was the jerk shack. We went here for lunch every day and the jerk was by far the best we've had. It was also amazing being able to sit on the beach and eat lunch. We really can't recommend this hotel enough. We're so glad that we chose to have our honeymoon here and can't wait to come back for many many anniversaries!!
