If you’re looking for modern luxury in the historic uptown heart of cosmopolitan Cape Town, look no further than Townhouse Hotel. You’re perfectly placed to explore most of the mother city’s must-sees, including a string of museums, art galleries, historic sights, shopping markets and the restaurant and bar scene. Take a 30-minute stroll and you’re met with the renowned, buzzing V&A Waterfront, and if you venture slightly further afield, you’ll come face-to-face with the impressive Table Mountain.
After a day exploring the expansive cultural offerings of Cape Town’s centre and beyond, the hotel’s restaurant is on hand to serve up delicious traditional South African fare with a creative twist. With the famous Cape Winelands a little outside of the city, it would be rude for the hotel not to have a complementary list of Cape vintage wines available, right? Well, you’ll have every chance to sip on a quaffable glass or two at the restaurant or the laid-back cafe and bar – the perfect night-cap after a culture-filled day. Townhouse Hotel scooped a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
How to Get There
Smart, well located, modern and with all the amenities one now expects in a hotel, this property is made by its expert, attentive and above all friendly staff. I have never stayed in a hotel where everybody is so welcoming. Perhaps this is down to training, but perhaps it is just natural South African good humour. I'll be back.
From our arrival to the Townhouse I could not reccomend them higher. Every member of staff was more than helpful for any and all requests. The food was amazing and portions were more than adequate. Centrally located and plenty of friendly advice from the staff about where to go and how to get around. We would happily stay here again and reccomend to others.
...I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel . Yes there are more flashy hotels down on the V and A but if you want great service massive breakfasts and a spotlessly clean room this is for you ! All at a very good price
Staff are fab - they can’t do enough to help and food and bar prices in the hotel are very reasonable.
Yes you do need to take a taxi at night - download the Uber app before you come and it costs about £2 down to the front. However we ate at the hotel a lot of nights as it was so good and we were so tired after a day sightseeing !
