How to Get There
A great place to relax and enjoy a catch up session with friends! Great service and great food! The atmosphere is relaxed as well as homely which is the best combination! Look forward to my next visit...
We (couple) stayed here in December. The Hotel area is very nicely made with the pools and water around. The Hotel room with the view facing the Table Mountain is breathtaking. Also the staff was very friendly.
I was a bit disappointed of the pool area, there is no area that is for adults only, so it's always quite noisy at the pool. great for familys with children.
also the breakfast could improve, I feel like there is a lot of options for average food but not for ppl that want to eat healthy or have Vegan/vegetarian options.
The Spa of the Hotel is very nice and the staff is very good. usually in big hotels it sometimes seems like the spa is not very professional but here they def. know what they are doing.
overall the Hotel is nice and in a good Location, but as a couple without children I wouldn't stay there again.
A definite must for anyone looking to stay central in Cape Town. This is right near v&a waterfront, public transport and walking distance to many other sights. All the staff are super helpful and friendly. You might think is this worth the money you’re spending - but believe me it’s worth every cent. Best view, great food, special touches are a real treat. You won’t be disappointed!
We stayed in one of the villas on the exclusive private island of the One and Only hotel, for a 3 night break away, just my wife and I. Good location close to the V&A waterfront complex, and the villa was lovely and roomy, with all the luxury mod cons one would expect. The breakfasts were comprehensive, however my wife who is vegan struggled to get much to eat other than the mundane... Despite us warning the hotel well before we arrived of the dietary requirements, no effort was made by the staff or supervisors to really accommodate us , and to try see if they could research /russle up something separate for her, even just a dish or 2. Very disappointing, as this happened for 3 mornings running, and each time we asked specifically ... Main part of hotel has lovely views of the mountain, but is a bit sterile feeling for an ultra luxury hotel. Combining the breakfast area with Ruben's restaurant in a voluminous space also did not work for us. The other fusion restaurant on site had big reviews , but unfortunately , was a big disappointment to us. Staff other than reception and cleaning staff, thus being restaurant/bar staff were not up to scratch for such an establishment. Felt like training and strong senior management lacking I am afraid. Probably if I was able to , I would rate this hotel a 3 1/2 experience, so considering that it is either 3 or 4 out of 5 that I can choose, I will give them the benefit , and rate it a 4/5
Great 5 star accommodation. We were treated with a smile every where we went. There were 15 of us and staff was friendly with all ages. A lot of fun watching the World Cup soccer in the lobby bar. Great views of table Mountain. Breakfast buffet is over the top. Great place to relax in Cape Town!
