Location! Amenities! Staff!,

This charming hotel has a history stretching back to the late 18th century and charm to match, yet without skimping on classic amenities. When we arrived a fire was crackling in the front parlor. Secure parking is adjacent and each room has its own beauty. The breakfast goes way beyond the ample buffet of fruits and pastries. Cooked to order eggs, oatmeal, and omelets are yours for the asking. Staff are amazing. They provide information on everything ... Excursions, weather, restaurants. Only drawback is no elevator so getting to any room requires the ability to manage a dozen steps up the stairs. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Cape Heritage Hotel for four nights. It was a treat from arrival to departure. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. The location was convenient to shops and restaurants and just two blocks from the Hop on Hop off “red bus”. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

lovely but noisy

The hotel is very nice. The room was nice but somewhat awkward. Sink and bathtub outside of bathroom and in the middle of the room. What I liked most was the location. Centrally located and next to great restaurants (Chefs Warehouse). Our only complaint is that it we stayed on a Friday night and it was quite noisy. Even though the staff said the bar closes at 10pm, I could still hear people at 1am (perhaps from another bar?). The hotel did provide earplugs.

Luxury Room

We had a wonderful time at this charming hotel that was full of thoughtful touches and lots of character! From the minute you enter, you feel welcomed and comfortable. Our room was very large with a four poster bed and beautiful decor. Our only negative was that our room was located on the street side of the building and there was one night where there was very loud music playing and we had to use the provided ear buds. The breakfast was excellent and we dined inside on the first morning morning, due to rain, in one of the sitting areas and outside in the courtyard under the grapevine on the second morning. The staff here really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome ensure that you are having a great stay. This hotel is part of a square and it is very easy to get to restaurants and other shops from the courtyard. We enjoyed lunch at HQ, enjoyed an excellent dinner at Savoy Cabbage and picked up several bottles of wine all within the square.

Fabulous hotel, especially the team working there- they really know how to make a stay special. A real home away from home place, each room was styled differently. Great central location about 5 mins drive from the V&A
