How to Get There
Four of us had a wonderful time at the Madi Gras casino. We were greet at the hotel by Nathan who quickly unpacked our bags and escorted us to the front desk. Nathan helped us to our rooms and gave us lots of information to digest. We gambled on the slots and at the tables. Every deal was pleasant, professional and efficient. Other players at the table both nights were so friendly so we had lots of fun. The slots were a little tight but there was enough of a variety to keep my wife busy both evenings. The hotel rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. We were surprised that the hotel offered a hot breakfast each morning with a chef available
to cook eggs or omelets to order. A friendly player, at our blackjack table, encouraged us to eat in the French Quarter restaurant since they were having a steak special. All four of us had steak and all four of us were totally satisfied.
Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel, the casino and the restaurant.
Stayed for 3 nights. The room was decent and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and included made to order omlets. Everyone was very friendly. So convenient that you get to the casino without even going outside. They have a walkway that is enclosed. Enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Nice stay
After a long drive, we stayed 1 night at the Mardi Gras. We arrived around 5p and the rooms were not ready, so we decided to eat supper. After that all I wanted was a comfortable bed and sleep. The rooms were ready around 6:30p. The bed was comfortable, but the room location was not quiet. The breakfast buffet the next morning was excellent with plenty of choices, plenty of food and beverages. Will definitely stay again the next trip.
We always enjoy our times at Mardi Gras Casino and resort. Free parking. A friendly staff member is always nearby to searve you. The variety of games and slots is great. The Greyhound racing is fantastic with a super restaurant overlooking the track. Betting is easy and convenient. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. I had the ribeye steak and it was cooked great. Our server was fantastic. Good experience.
Overall a nice stay. The hotel is connected to the casino, so it's worth the extra $20 or so difference from nearby options. The bedding is comfortable and the rooms are clean.
I have two complaints. The mini fridge is only for the hotel items for which you are charged. There is no space for your own use, which is problematic if you have refrigerated medications. Second, the walls are paper thin. It's fine if everyone is behaving themselves..... but it's a casino, so it's a toss -up whether you'll have boisterous neighbors. I always request a room at the end of the hall if available.
