A comfortable stay at a handsome red-brick hall in royal Sutton Coldfield, with breakfast and optional carvery dinner

The Lowdown

Set in the beautiful parkland of Sutton Coldfield, Moor Hall Hotel & Spa is the archetypal country house hotel. A grand red-brick building, it has historic original features, a pitched roof and a conservatory and dining terrace, plus winding paths and impressive landscaped gardens. Add to this elegant dining options, a lounge bar with an open fire and a spa with a gym and indoor pool, and you get the exceedingly tempting picture.

The cosy hotel sits proudly within easy reach of the surrounding countryside and on the edge of the private Moor Hall Golf Course, with lovely views over the course and no shadows from neighbouring buildings. It’s also just eight miles outside of central Birmingham if you fancy dipping into the city for a day of retail therapy. Moor Hall Hotel & Spa sports a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Lovely!

Spent the weekend here and enjoyed every minute of it. The gym and spa were clean and well maintained. Our room was large and spacious - the bed was very comfortable. The "nothing is too much trouble" attitude from all the staff made our stay even better. Oh and I have to mention the wonderful massage I received too - bliss.

Nice swimming pool

Stayed here for one night and can’t really fault anything. The room was a good size and was clean and modern looking and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was good with an all you can eat, help yourself style of service. Lots of cereals and fruits or a fry up. I tried everything! The indoor swimming pool was a good size and the grounds and building look lovely. Well worth the £133 that we paid and that included a sofa bed for our son.

Amazing bar staff Tom and Niamh

We attended a wedding here this weekend. The room was dressed beautifully and the grounds are gorgeous!

But the highlight was the amazing bar staff, Tom and Niamh. Both were very friendly and helpful. Tom especially for finding my lost phone!

We would definitely recommend this venue to everyone, stunning place and amazing staff!
