How to Get There
It a nice hotel in a good location but bit pricy for four stars or perhaps they should offer an evening turndown, we stayed in the suite , nice room with the view of the canal but we can hear the conversation of the people next room. Very friendly and helpful staff , a dog friendly hote .
This hotel combines the uniqueness of a small luxury hotel with modern amenities and quintessential Bruges charm! The staff are wonderful and the place is lovely and clean. Everything is in walking distance. The breakfast is worth it, so eat here. There is more food than you’ll know what do eat and who could resist a plate if Belgian chocolates to round out your meal. We will definitely choose this hotel for future stays in Bruges!
Beautiful and elegant historical home of 17th doctors converted to a hotel. The windows are glazed with antique Venetian crystal glass - OMG! Our room was lovely, traditionally styled and bright. They honored my request for a room with a beautiful canal view. Service to our room was excellent - what ever they could do to make us comfortable was very appreciated after a 4 hour trip from Amsterdam. After dinner drinks in the charming salon with a bar and fireplace was enjoyed. We were disappointed we did not have time for their indoor heated pool and saunas. The in house breakfast buffet was the best we had in 3 countries over 7 days. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
Appalling service and inflexible manager (Kristof) Booked hotel for 8th May (one night). Had to change date to 27th May (one night). Rooms were available but the hotel Manager refused to change my booking and insisted I also had to pay for 8th May. He said it was company policy because of the type of booking (no flexibility) I had made. I proposed paying an additional EUR 100 to the hotel for the change of date but he just kept repeating like a robot that it was 'company policy'. Clearly as the manager of the hotel he could have made the change I requested but rather than being a helpful human being he preferred to just take my money. Having lived in Bruges in the late 1980s, I can say with certainty that in the past hoteliers and business in general in the city had a different approach to visitors. Back then you were treated in a civil fashion. Now, for some like Kristof and the Hotel De Tuilerieen visitors are just anonymous people passing through who can be fleeced and exploited to the maximum. Rather sad.
Lovely stay at Hotel De Tuilerieen. Great location with well decorated rooms and friendly staff.
The hotel doesn’t serve lunch or dinner which is a shame as it is a lovely place to be.
Great bar, terrace and swimming pool all set within this handsome historic property. We had a royal executive room which was huge and a very nice place to spend 3 nights.
