Very old hotel in a good location

Their refrigerators are filled with drinks that you’re not allowed to move without being charged. In other words, you’re not allowed to use the refrigerator. It took about thirty minutes to check in since the line was so long and there was only one desk working. Front desk staff were not friendly either. Good location though, 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market and other attractions. If possible, avoid rooms near the elevator. The walls are thin.

Best location! Easy walk to Pike Place Market. Two block walk to monorail to the Space Needle.
There are two towers. North tower has the pool. We had a Puget Sound view room in the north tower. Beautiful view of the sunset.

Nice hotel

Quick friendly check-in and was upgraded to the top floor suite in the south tower, which was huge. Location was very convenient to stores and restaurants. Only reason I dinged them a star is because of a $10 charge for a water bottle that I didn't drink, which showed up on my bill but that I didn't catch until I did my expense report. Also, the breakfast buffet was overpriced and not that good.

Not Clean
Reviewed 3 days ago

I've stayed at this hotel a dozen times and have never had a poor experience until now. I got to my room and found the mirrors with smudge marks, debris on the floor, and nothing had been dusted. I hate complaining and everything else seemed up to par, so I let it slide. The next morning I stepped on a piece of glass and finally called down to let them know. I kept the piece of glass and let them know I'd set it on the desk for them to look at. When I returned from my meetings, the room hadn't been touched except the piece of glass was gone. I called and let them know this was unacceptable. They informed me that because I had opted for the "Green Choice" that they didn't clean my room. I made that choice before seeing the room and stepping on glass and insisted they come clean it. When I returned from dinner the room had been cleaned, but the mirrors remained with smudge marks and the floor still had debris.

The morning I checked out I got a knock on my door at 8:30 asking if I had checked out and they needed to clean my room. I had to inform them multiple times they would have to come back after I checked out.

I don't know if they changed managers over the cleaning services, but it's sub-standard at this point and needs to be looked at if they don't want to lose all of their customers. My co-worker and I will be staying at other Marriott locations when travelling to Seattle from here on out.

Great location

Stayed at the Westin for a meeting and was so pleasantly surprised. The location was great, great restaurants and attractions all walkable, as is the ferry. The views are spectacular. The bed was so comfortable I bought the mattress for home! The services for our meeting were also very good. Food, rooms and personnel all made it a great event. The servers in the bar were terrific. So personable and fun. Overall a great event and a great stay.
