How to Get There
Service was excellent and room was clean. This location felt more like a hotel I would visit for a business event, rather than a hotel I would stay at for a vacation (which I was on). Nice pool, adequate workout room with separate room with Peloton bikes (this was cool)! This location had one small casual restaurant, a very nice bar area with comfy chairs and a small area off of the restaurant to get some Starbucks drinks and quick food. Bed did not feel like a heavenly bed and each weekend night there was a party in a room on the floor that went into the wee hours of the morning and was very loud.TV did not work the entire time we were there.
The location was good - but there are other hotels nearby to stay at.
We stayed in a deluxe view room, we asked if any upgrades were available upon check in - we were told for $10 a night, we could upgrade - we tried to find out what exactly was the upgrade and the gal at the front desk couldn't really say - so we skipped it.
We stayed for 3 nights - our room was supposed to have robes and a mini-fridge, neither were in our room. They of course had their fridge with over priced items (we usually take them out and put our stuff in and replace it before we leave - you cant do that, as soon as you remove the item, you are charged). The few encounters we had with staff, we not very pleasant, we felt as though we were bothering them, so we never asked about the fridge or robe - didn't think we should have to anyway. In addition, our shower faucet was upside down, fortunately we noticed this before using it, not sure why this wasn't repaired ahead of time, you could see the indentation on the tile of this being a recurring issue.
There is only restaurant here - Relish Burger Bistro - they have a rating outside the hotel that states they are "good" but not excellent. We were tired and ate there, the service there was better than the hotel, we had and appetizer, shared a salad, each had a steak (don't get that) and non- alochalic beverages - bill was $120.00. The burgers were probably a better choice, but I would only eat here if I was too tired to go out.
Honestly we felt like we were paying top dollar for a hotel that didnt live up to its advertisments.
We stayed for 2 nights to attend the Emerald City Comicon. Perfect walking distance to convention centre. Pay parking next door to hotel. Check-in went smoothly - got in a little early. Room was clean - had to turn down the heat - we were on the 25th Floor - room was on the warm side. Kinda crazy that you have to pay a fee to use the fridge to use to store you own items that need refrigeration. My only real complaint is that our bed was not the usual Heavenly Bed that the Westin chain brags about. I have stayed in Westin hotels before and the beds have been a dream! I sat on the end of the bed and almost hit the floor - it was WAY to soft and saggy. Sleep was just okay. We're staying here again in May 2019 for 1 night - hope we get the authentic Heavenly Bed this time!
Nice Westin centrally located. I enjoy most Westin’s for the comfortable beds and good fitness centers. This one checked both boxes.
It is a 10 minutes walk to the water and all Seattle has to offer and they have a Peloton workout room which is nice.
Downside, parking was $50 night which is ridiculous. I don’t even pay that in larger cities I visit. Also the restaurant does not open until 6:30 AM which misses the mark for us Central time folk and even worse for east coasters. Most San Francisco hotels open their breakfast restaurants at 5/5:30 or 6 at the latest. Minor complaint but worth considering
The room was a decent size and fairly clean if a little rundown. Housekeeping was very light each day and we were offered the "opportunity" to not have housekeeping come in at all! We had requested a fridge and it was not there when we arrived and had to ask again. Ice machine in hall was broken the whole time and ice had to be delivered from room service. Overall for the price, was not worth it.
