Nice rooms, bad service
Reviewed 13 hours ago

I always try to stay at Hyatt hotels - I had their credit card at one point and so it's the chain I have the most points for.
On this business trip, I had lots of options but I thought I would try out this relatively new Hyatt.
I'm sorry I did.
The room was modern, the bed was comfortable, the gym was nice. But the service was pretty bad.
I stopped at the front desk one night to ask for a charger for my iphone - there are notes all over the place about the fact that if you forgot just about anything, the hotel would try to provide it for you. On that list was chargers. The front desk clerk (who knew I had had a rough trip in since he asked) said he didn't have one at the front desk but he was sure there was one somewhere else in the hotel and he would send it right up. I waited and waited and waited until I fell asleep. There was never a knock on the door nor did they call to tell me they couldn't find one. They just didn't deliver what they said they would.
To add insult to injury, my breakfast order was half an hour late the next morning.
So when I went to work, I was half an hour late with a dead iphone!
Thanks Hyatt @ Olive 8!
But it gets worse: when I went to tell the front desk about these issues, the clerk said he knew he had my email in his system because I'm a Discoverist, but could I give it to him again? Why, I asked? So that we can send you a survey, he send.
Now I have ALWAYS been told NOT to wait until the survey, but to discuss your issues and complaints directly with the hotel.
He obviously didn't care.
So I filled out the hotel survey...which, in turn, asked me to fill in a TripAdvisor survey.
Here ya go, Hyatt at Olive 8. I won't be staying with you again!

Great Location

A great weekend with walking (exercise) to the market and several great restaurants. We booked a room with the parking package, which made parking convenient and a reasonable rate for downtown. The pool and sauna were a nice bonus.

Very nice place to stay for a week

Enjoyed the immaculate condition of the hotel, room and facilities. The gym was exceptionally maintained and had all of the requisite equipment. Perfect location in the heart of downtown. Looking forward to staying here again.

Great place to stay in Seattle
Reviewed 2 days ago

It is a tradition in my family to stay overnight in Seattle for our annual girls shopping trip. We have stayed in a variety of hotels but Olive 8 is now our favorite place to stay. The rooms and beds are comfortable. It’s is well located, especially if you are seeing a show at the Paramount! Highly recommend!
