Just 15 minutes from Seattle and three miles from Washington’s high-tech corridor or Redmond, Kirkland, and Bellevue, the Woodmark Hotel feels a world away from that high-stress urban life. It’s the only hotel on the shores of Lake Washington, making it a dreamy base for nautical adventures like kayaking and yacht tours. The rooms have cushy comforts like down pillows, tech necessities like fast WiFi, and whimsical touches like make-your-own-martini bars. The two waterfront dining options are the Mediterranean-inflected Bin on the Lake wine bar and restaurant, and the more casual Beach Café.
In the Area
While the hotel is meant to be a cocooning destination, it’s quite close to the attractions of Bellevue, including the Bellevue Arts Museum. Further afield, the Bellevue Farmers Market offers locally grown fruits, vegetables, and flowers, and the nearby Woodinville wine region includes more than 90 wineries and was recently named one of America’s 50 most amazing wine experiences by Food & Wine magazine. Visual pleasures abound at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, which covers more than 53 acres.
How to Get There
Wonderful location right there on Lake Washington. Food was OUTSTANDING. The Sea Bass and the salmon were absolutely exceptional! Room decor is very welcoming. Fit and finish were "meh", though. Sink backed up immediately, toilet handle was broken and not enough plugs for computer/gadgets.
If your looking for a smaller hotel experience with a great location on Lake Washington with great amenities and service then the Woodmark Hotel and Spa is the choice. You really feel like you are more in a home then a hotel. The service is excellent and if you only stayed at the hotel for your visit and never ventured into the local area you would be completely satisfied.
This hotel is always a treat to stay at. Beautiful accommodations and friendly service. We have stayed twice now. Once the night after our wedding and then this last weekend. It is always a special experience. The little bar restaurant across the way has great atmosphere and food. We love fresh oyster bars. Also Love the midnight snack pantry!
I have been coming here for several years now. Started with a Groupon for Christmas to visit my Mother and sister, both, in small assisted living apartments. Too old to sleep on a sofa or floor. Treated so well, that now I cannot stay anywhere else. They will match the Groupon price but treat me like a regular VIP. Brought my sister for a Spa Birthday and had cupcakes, wine, with a handwritten note from the staff. It was the note that sold me, after just mentioning it was her Birthday. I have now been spoiled so that I cannot stay anywhere else. Come a couple times a year to see family. Mom's gone, and this has really become a second home.
We love the Woodmark. Beautiful hotel with a friendly staff. Rooms are amazing with wonderful views. We have stayed here several times over the last few years and never had a bad experience. If you are looking for a romantic getaway that is still a quick Uber ride from the city this is the place.
