Just 15 minutes from Seattle and three miles from Washington’s high-tech corridor or Redmond, Kirkland, and Bellevue, the Woodmark Hotel feels a world away from that high-stress urban life. It’s the only hotel on the shores of Lake Washington, making it a dreamy base for nautical adventures like kayaking and yacht tours. The rooms have cushy comforts like down pillows, tech necessities like fast WiFi, and whimsical touches like make-your-own-martini bars. The two waterfront dining options are the Mediterranean-inflected Bin on the Lake wine bar and restaurant, and the more casual Beach Café.
In the Area
While the hotel is meant to be a cocooning destination, it’s quite close to the attractions of Bellevue, including the Bellevue Arts Museum. Further afield, the Bellevue Farmers Market offers locally grown fruits, vegetables, and flowers, and the nearby Woodinville wine region includes more than 90 wineries and was recently named one of America’s 50 most amazing wine experiences by Food & Wine magazine. Visual pleasures abound at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, which covers more than 53 acres.
How to Get There
Beautiful boutique hotel. Very friendly staff. We stayed for two nights in April. Great location with beautiful view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay. Will definitely recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway. Short drive to excellent restaurants and bars.
The meeting rooms worked out well for our meeting. The various rooms was wonderfully suited for the lab class, the luncheon food, and the private meeting that followed the public meeting. The open area also was perfect for the vendors who came and sponsored the meeting.
The view was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, with soft linens and a pillow menu. The after 10pm pantry was perfect for small late night cravings.
Always a pleasure to stay at the Woodmark. We stay in Kirkland and commute in to SEA. Guest rooms and baths are 5 star. Restaurants very good. Spa and fly fitness both very enjoyable. Do try the complimentary kayaks and bike cruisers. And the views, priceless. We’ll be back soon.
The location was beautiful. It was nice, quiet, and quaint. There was plenty of parking available, too. It was easy to get to different eateries and shops. I was there for a friend's wedding and the venue was overlooking the water. It was beautiful. The rooms are simple (the hotel is older) but everything you needed was provided. I didn't have to ask for anything additional. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.
