How to Get There
I hate that people come here and pick this place apart. First of all this isn’t the W or Trump Tower-you aren’t coming here for a room you are coming here for experience. This is our 5th Lodge and I don’t want to leave. We’ve extended our stay and if we didn’t have obligations Friday and Saturday we would stay longer-again.
Is this place perfect? No. Is the customer service perfect? pretty dang close! I’ve yet to come in contact with staff who was having a bad day...or didn’t want to help us. The thing I love most about this place is they really try hard not to tell us no. If they can make it happen they will. And it’s like that every where we go. We come to the lodge a minimum of twice a year-sometimes more depending on rates, but it is by far my most favorite place to vacation. From the crafts-to story time-to the dance party in the evening my kids eyes light up every.single.time.
I come here for the memories. I don’t worry if things aren’t perfect. That isn’t going to ruin MY magic!!
We eat breakfast with the characters, have craft time and then Play magiquest until nap time. Then we wake up and close down the water park. Our entire family, from my two year old, eight year old to my husband and I play magiquest and are master Magi’s at ALL the lodges. Why? Because why NOT!! It’s the only game like it of its kind and my children love the “magic”. We add a piece of clothing to my sons collection every time we are here and we love it.
This is BY FAR the best water park out of the Lodges we’ve been to. (Seattle, California and Colorado) After tonight’s adventure I was a little sad we were leaving it behind. My daughter rode her first water slide here and became so brave.
My biggest suggestion-throw our the expectations and just enjoy the magic of the children smiling and having a great time. You think Disney is the happiest place on Earth? I don’t think you’ve been to The Great Wolf Lodge. ♥️
Dirty rooms games broken for magic quest not working touch screens Games looked run down for magic quest Just a lot of other Bad Problems. Management didn't seem to care until we left. Only the front desk person seemed to care and try to help us.
The room was mostly clean. Looked like it still needed to be vacuumed. The beds were a little more comfortable than last time . We loved the water park. The pizza was really good. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Staff was very friendly. Only other complaint besides the carpet not being totally clean ....we asked for a pack and play when I booked the room and twice after we arrived and never received it. Luckily I just co slept . It was mainly to have a place to put my 11 month old so we didn't have to put her on the floor to move around. A little frustrated with that but overall nice stay and we will go back. The only meal plan worth it to pay in advance was the breakfast.
