AMAZiNG!!! Definitely will be back!
Reviewed 4 days ago

My husband and I just got married and while we are waiting to have our big honeymoon in a few months, wanted a couple of nights to relax before returning home after the wedding. The wedding was in Roanoke, and we live in the DC area, so I searched for B&Bs off of 81. This B&B came up with so many raving reviews and looked so peaceful from the website. So we booked it!

And it did not disappoint!!! From when we first walked in the door, we were greeted by a very kind woman (Karen, I think?) who gave us a tour of the main house and as well as the barn, as we stayed in one of the rooms there (212 - one of the two on the basement level). The room itself was spacious and included a huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi (which we definitely took advantage of later that evening!). We had emailed the property about a week before to have a couples massage scheduled in the room, and that was magnificent!

We had a back door from the room to have a view of the fields and while we didn't see any deer like we had hoped, we did see a rabbit!

For breakfast, they notified us the day before about the menu, asked about what time we'd like to have it, so it'd be ready when we arrived in the conservatory. I'm a picky eater, and although I felt bad for wanting changes to their menu, they easily and happily tweaked my portions based on my weird eating habits :) The bacon was fantastic, by the way!

We met with the owner, who took the time to chat with us (and I noticed with other guests too) to get to know us and make us feel welcomed! And when we had to cancel tentative plans to explore downtown Staunton due to the rain, we stayed in and borrowed some DVDs in their library in the main house to enjoy relaxing in the room!

My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! Since we didn't get to explore much of the area during our stay, and it's only a couple of hours away, we will definitely head down that way again sometime, and definitely stay at the Inn when we do!! You won't regret it - kind staff, good food, awesome rooms, and definitely a place to RELAX!

Great 2 night stay

The property is just a few miles from Staunton and very quiet and private. The room in the house was very large and modern. The breakfast was fantastic each day. The service is outstanding and a great thanks to Eve the owner and Karen and Catherine who went far out of their way to make us feel very comfortable.
We highly recommend this Inn.

Fantastic place.

Stayed from Friday through Sunday. The Inn’s staff is the most pleasant and eager to help. They will tell you about the vineyards, restaurants, shops and sights in this quaint town. The Inn itself is beautiful. Stunning appointments, furniture and great rooms. Our king bed even was a “number” type to adjust the mattress firmness. The bathroom was large and well supplied as was the shower. Breakfast was to die for!!! Yum. Will be coming back.

Wonderful Weekend Escape

We decided to get away for a weekend and this was the perfect place. We stayed in the barn and it was so nice. Loved being surrounded by fields and cows! Breakfast was delish and the little touches like having tea available throughout the day and cookies was great. Good restaurants in the area and things to do. Also the ability to adjust your mattress was so helpful (sleep numbers!) The innkeepers were sweet and helpful, we will be back!!

Wonderful Visit

During a recent vacation, my husband and I spent two nights at The Inn. At the last minute, the room we requested was not available, however the one we were given was just as nice and our hostess gave us a very nice bottle of wine. We stayed in that night and watched a DVD from their large collection. Breakfast both mornings was very good; they accommodated my food restrictions. Our only problem was the "number" bed; we never seemed to get it right! This is a wonderful inn with a great staff and beautiful setting.
