How to Get There
This place is fantastic! The staff was very friendly and attentive; they went up and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. They even made special breakfast for our picky eater LO. Our room was big, clean, comfortable, had a bathtub, fireplace that works, all the amenities and a great view. The Inn is clean, very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast room is very beautiful and the food was excellent! There was nothing we could find to complain about it. We will definitely stay again here.
We enjoyed the most wonderful stay at the Inn at WestShire Farms this past week. Katherine and Brian were gracious and welcoming hosts. Since the Farm's schedule allowed, Katherine and Brian even made a last-minute change to ensure our comfort. The rooms were lovely, inviting, and restful. And when Katherine and Brian describe one of their rooms as physically accessible, they truly mean it. The Middlesex room offers a lovely and fully accessible sanctuary. Our breakfast was delicious, and our entire stay was peaceful and restful. We look forward to returning.
My wife & I stayed at WestShire Farms last Saturday evening on a theatre trip to Staunton and never have we enjoyed a more impressive and comfortable B&B in our varied experiences from coast to coast. The bedroom alone was twice the size of any B&B offering we have ever encountered. Ditto, the bathroom. And the bathtub itself was large enough to sleep a family of four, provided they are friendly. The new owners are eager to please and so is the staff. The wi-fi connection was excellent (not always the case in some other stays). The bed was comfy & king-size. The rate was extremely reasonable. We've booked the major hotel in Staunton before, and WestShire Farms wins hands down. Hooray for the fresh faces in town. (--from a traveler has slept in 44 states & 24 countries on four continents)
Wife and I stopped for one night. Everything about the Inn is absolutely first class. Accommodations impeccable; breakfast superb. Water, soft drinks, coffee available in common area. As already mentioned, convenient to Staunton. Highly recommend the Mill Street Grill. Finally, Katherine and Brian are friendly and responsive.
We stopped on our drive north from Florida in the pretty town of Staunton and stayed at the Inn at WestShire Farms. It is a short drive from Interstate 81 and a lovely place to relax from travels. Katherine, the owner, met us and showed us to our room, which is a separate "barn" behind the main building.
Katherine is delightful; a gracious innkeeper who made us feel most welcome. The rooms of the barn look out into the rolling Virginia countryside. We sat on our private little second floor deck at dusk and had a glass of wine, watching the cattle and whitetail deer graze on the ridges rising behind the inn. Katherine recommended Aioli to us (and made us a reservation), a fine restaurant in the middle of Staunton, where we had an excellent dinner. Very good Italian food only a few minutes down the road.
In the morning, we had a great breakfast in the main house, seated in the glass conservatory which was transported from England to the Farm a number of years ago. It was bright and cheerful and the breakfast was excellent, especially the locally sourced bacon.
The only thing to note is that there is traffic noise from the highway, but it is not intrusive. Overall, we had a delightful stay and we can recommend this inn to anyone seeking a special retreat in the pretty hills of Virginia.
