How to Get There
We recently stayed at the Inn after a long days travel on the I 95 and I 81. What a treat to walk into the beautifully appointed room. We frequently travel with our dogs and finding great accommodations is difficult. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom of running through the neighbouring hills and feeling welcome. Don’t settle for roadside motels and hotels, this is a lovely spot to rest up, eat well and enjoy the surrounding landscapes.
The new owners have pushed the standard for romantic and memorable visits to a new high. Renovations and improvements have been made and loving touches have added to the overall experience. Breakfast was gourmet and served by gracious staff in the solarium. The hosts were warm and inviting. We will make this a regular stop on the way to northern Virginia. If you don’t stay here you have missed a memorable experience that will only get better! Jim D.
Amazing views with a warm welcoming. Brian and Katherine we amazing. The room we stayed in was warm and spacious. The food was delicious. Plenty of things to do. We toured the caverns 25 minutes up highway 81. The town of Staunton is a great place to visit as well. 5 minutes away with plenty of restaurants and little shops to explore. We were there 2 nights and will be going back. Fall would be an ideal time with the leaves changing but I would go anytime of the year and if you are in the area.
From arrival to breakfast and checkout, we had a great experience.
Catherine (the new owner) couldn’t be nicer and more welcoming. They have remodeled and decorated the Farm so it’s a perfect combination of cozy and luxurious, with a beautiful view. We stayed at the DarbyShire room and it was perfect.
We will be revisiting in the future.
My wife, dog and I had a wonderful 4-night stay over Christmas. What a special, delightful experience. This charming B&B -- The Farm -- located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley near Staunton, VA, exudes the owner's personality and attention to her guests' every need and interest.
Katherine is the perfect hostess. She and her staff are the most pleasant, professional and accommodating folks you'll ever meet.
Our room in the Mill House was delightful. Tasteful and sparkling clean with all the necessary amenities; first-class in every wayl. And the common area was beautifully decorated and pleasantly stocked with complimentary refreshments, as well as a large library of DVDs for in-room viewing.
And they treated our golden retriever/yellow lab mix just like any other guest: with kindness and consideration and a large beautifully maintained yard to play in. And a nearby herd of Black Angus cows to admire and intrigue.
The breakfasts were fantastic -- prepared fresh upon seating. Hearty and delicious. And beautifully served in a bright, airy, comfortable dining room, with full table service and linen cloths and napkins.
The surrounding area has virtually unlimited options for dining, entertainment and outdoor activity.
Absolutely the most delightful lodging experience we've ever had.
