Great stay. Professional staff. Clean accommodations with good restaurants on site. The staff was very helpful and willing. I am very pleased with this hotel and I would recommend this as a very affordable option.

horrible experience

Our room was covered in dust and we had to clean it ourselves with a washcloth. The floor was filthy and a dirty used cup was lying next to the bed. the lamp shades had holes and and the one had horrible staining of some sort inside it. Our room had no remote for the tv and no hot water. After six (6) - trips and calls to the front desk we were finally provided a new room the next late afternoon. This room was much better but certainly did not make up for the horrible start. The manager did not even offer any type of compensation for the awful first room. The hallways stunk like cigarette smoke and foul odors. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!!

After a long drive what a great way to end the day. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and check in went smoothly.
I was delighted with my room which was spacious. The view from my window was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. Couldnt wait to get a good nights rest.
Went down to the restaurant for a light snack meal which was really good.
After a good nights sleep, had a great breakfast in the restaurant. Checkout went smoothly and was well rested for the trip ahead. Highly recommend this hotel for a stopover.

Very disappointed. Never had this type of experience EVER in a hotel before.

This hotel was rated 3 1/2 stars, looked good in the pics, and even looked nice pulling up and checking in at the lobby. Everything was great until I got on the elevator and ventured into my room. I found the sheets had not been changed out from the previous guest because they left behind lots of hair, make-up on the sheets, and sock lint in the bed. I called down to request clean sheets and they were sent up within 10 minutes. While waiting on the sheets, I noticed we didn’t have lamp shades, the floor stains were atrocious! There was smears on the walls and doors of unknown substance? The bathroom faucets had toothpaste still on them, and the mirror was splattered with toothpaste. When I began making the beds, I noticed what looked like roaches (if not a roach then a close cousin) along the baseboards. Some of the bugs were well enough away from the wall that vacuum could have easily sucked up, but it appeared there had been no vacuum for a while because some of the bugs were decomposing, which takes time. That was the last straw! I refuse to bring home bugs! I went to front desk to request a refund to find a new hotel. I was told no refunds. They did offer to change me to a different room. I requested to see the room first before agreeing. I was escorted to a new room which wasn’t much better. Upon opening the door and turning on the lights, I noticed a footprint (footprint mind you, not shoe print)! I showed this to the employee immediately. I said, either y’all mop in your bare feet, or this room was never wiped down from the previous guests. She just shrugged and said she could have it cleaned. This second room had less stains on the carpet, no bugs around the walls, but was traded out for the mold around the air vent, pubic hair left in the shower, along with more toothpaste on the faucets and mirrors. I requested to see a manager. Went downstairs and no manager could be found for the night?? I took the room with no bugs, and was asked if I wanted clean sheets, it would take 30-40 minutes to get (it was midnight at this point). So, I opted to take the clean sheets out of the first room and move them to the bug free room. The kind employee offered to clean the floor, mirrors, sink, etc, but I requested some disinfectant to clean it myself. The employee kindly handed me some spray and a rag. I did my best to wipe down the place. Meanwhile, we found many more disgusting items left behind in the room and evidence that made us feel some of the towels that were in the room had not been washed, but nicely folded and put back on the shelf.

I did not feel for the price I was being charged for these rooms that I should have to worry about sleeping in sheets that someone else had slept in, used towels that other guests had used, etc, etc,. My kids were with me!

In defense of the hotel, they did offer to refund some of my money (not all!). This was after making guests wait for about 4 hours to speak with a higher up that could authorize and take complaints. The hotel is located in a great location. It has lots of unique architectural qualities and could really be made into a nice hotel. However, the way things are neglected with the way it is being run currently, I don’t see it being able to survive... certainly not as a 3 start hotel. Maybe a 1 star. They have some really nice employees that had to take a lot of frustration from a lot of guests, and they have some employees that didn’t know how to handle it as well. In their defense, they probably hear these types of complaints all day long and just get apathetic and numb to it. So sad. Please take in what all the reviews are saying! With some TLC, a lot of TLC, this place could possibly turn around.

I honestly have never complained to management about a hotel. We checked in and within 5 minutes were back down at the desk. Our shower had a big glob of hair in the drain and empty bottles of their soap. This led me to believe that the shower obviously was not cleaned. My daughters duvet cover was also dirty. The floor was stained with red spots. This was all at first glance. When I told the manager, she said she was surprised because they had eyes on those rooms all day. Imagine if they didn't have eyes. She acted like she almost didn't believe me. We then left and we were told they would take care of our issues. Well minus the carpet stains. They admitted that they could not do anything for that. We returned a few hours later to find the bedding changed but empty bottles and spilled soap still in the shower. Way to go Blue Ridge! Upon close inspection of the room, there was a layer of dust on everything. Door in bathroom was also filthy. We stopped looking because overall, the room was appalling. At least bedding was now clean.
The next day, we were out and about. We came back at one point. Room was not cleaned. We left and came back at 5:30 pm. Room still wasn't done. We inquired at the front desk. They acted surprised. They sent someone up quickly with towels in hand. No cleaning cart etc. He asked what we needed. Really?
We then left so that he could clean. When we came back, bedding was changed. That's it. Nothing straightened. Empty bottles and spilled soap still in the shower. Wow! We gave up. Let me point out that we were in town for a volleyball tournament. Many other families complained. Some went so far as to request room change or to speak with the head of housekeeping. When we were leaving room for check out a stranger approached asking for toilet paper. She was afraid housekeeping would take too long, especially since he didn't have a cart with him. Have you ever been to a hotel where the cleaning staff did not keep carts with them?
Please let me repeat, I have never made a complaint like this or written a review like this. Please....heed my warning. Do not stay here!!!
