Nice room, polite staff

Stayed here for a one night stay with my husband to have alone time/date night(kid free zone)!! We had tickets to a concert at The National and I didn’t want to stay downtown. Check in was fast and easy because I prepaid through an online reservation. Chose to do a cash deposit instead of my card for incidentals.

Positives: front desk was very friendly,
you have to use the room key in the elevator to go up-great for safety.
Room and bathroom were clean.
Bed was big and comfy.

Downfalls:not a lot of cable stations,
water leaked out of the stall door when showering-had to put down several towels.

Room service was fast and very polite but a little too pricey for breakfast. $68(food, fees, taxes) for pancakes, potatoes, eggs and bacon for two people and the food was just ok. If you want the convenience of not having to leave the room and be able to eat in bed, then this is for you, but I will probably pass next visit.

great front desk staff

Booked this last minute before the Richmond marathon - why didn't everyone else?

I started to get a little worried when all the hotels listed on the race website were booked solid. So I thought it'd be down to cheap fleabags far from the start of the race. Not so. Apparently, people forgot about the Westin. Though it's not walking distance to the race, it was still just 10 minutes by car and we had no troubles getting there and back. The room was clean, quiet and exactly what I needed before and after the race, and the hotel restaurant had decently priced good food at the late hour we popped in. Our only complaint was that on our floor, we saw a room service plate of oysters that had been sitting by the elevator before we went to dinner, after we went to dinner, and THE NEXT MORNING IT WAS STILL THERE before I left for the race. Who does that? We were starting to wonder if it was a plastic display plate of dinner options, but sadly it didn't look that artfully rendered in my opinion.

There for my son's lacrosse tourney

It's a Westin - clean, well-decorated and classy. Unfortunately, one of the elevators was on the fritz, but it didn't seem to put too many people out, as the service elevator was available. I believe the team had a good experience, and the moms and dads tagging along experienced a high end and comfortable stay. There are a few glitches that can be tended to are the annoying buttons on the tv remote and the leaky windows in rain deluge (as I was leaving). The 'free' wifi was not working - and it was not clear that I could pay more to get a better connection. Location is great - quiet and treed spot literally right off the I-95. Great town to get around in - and free parking. Food is very good but expensive. All this being said - I'd stay here again. Great staff, y'all!
