How to Get There
Check-in was smooth. Very polite attendants. My room was on the 6th floor with beautiful HUGE windows. Very clean room with comfortable bed. Decorations were interesting and I enjoyed reading about the history AND art of the hotel. Water pressure in shower was lacking, but water was hot. Sound machine was appreciated and the vintage fridge was a cute touch.
Food in the restaurant was very good and servers were attentive. If you get a chance, go to the rooftop bar. Art throughout the hotel was fun. I would absolutely stay here again.
Loved my stay at Quirk Hotel in Richmond from the welcoming staff upon arrival greeted with a hot apple cider to the delicious food at the restaurant to the beautiful décor and stunning architecture to the comfortable high ceiling rooms. Can't wait to be back.
Staff are warm, helpful and always going beyond what's asked. However, the hotel itself is priced for its Instagrammable retro-themed looks - not because it offers any extensive amenities. The fitness center is small (but at least they have one!), the rooftop bar is only open seasonally, rooms are average-sized, as are bathrooms, but they have a Keurig machine and free waterbottles, and they replenish both the water and K-cups DAILY (which many establishments won't!). Also, there is NO complimentary parking - I wasn't aware of this when I arrived, and ended up paying 24 bucks to park overnight in the garage! Take it from second-day somewhat-savvier me: find a spot just a few blocks north on Monroe, W Clay, or Madison - parking is free, times are unrestricted (ie no '2-Hour Parking' limits etc.), residential permits are not required, and because of the moderate through-traffic, you shouldn't have to worry about having your vehicle broken into!
Overall, no complaints about the hotel - but know that the price is for the pics!
This hotel was very unique and comfortable. Not the standard hotel chain, and I wish I could have stayed longer.
The valet and front desk staff were very courteous and prompt. The room was clean, and I slept great!
I enjoyed staying at the Quirk and found the staff to be friendly and engaging. The rooms were really large, with very high ceilings, a very different spin from your typical hotel room on business travel. Room service was quick and the food was really tasty. Attentive service. I'd definitely recommend it and stay here again.,
