How to Get There
A couple friends and I went inside and asked about the rooftop bar and the front desk was very rude and laughed at us after telling us we can go to the bar. We were planning on spending our evening here and a lot of $$ there but we changed our minds as soon as this happened. We will never come back.
Based on the price and location I thought this hotel would be terrific. The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are sparsely furnished and the beds are not comfortable. There is minimal separation between the bathroom and the bedroom. The staff is fine but a bit cold; certainly not what you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel. I would recommend that you visit the lobby and perhaps eat at the restaurant, but stay elsewhere.
The service was awesome. I never felt that I was a bother to reception, they were very friendly and accommodating, and we felt as if they remembered us each day. We had follow up conversations, which means they remembered us. Well done!
The lobby and rooftop bar and room set up details in terms of design were awesome, I loved the interior design and millennial pink details. What was lacking though, was the basic attention to what most guests want in a hotel stay. Things like having a fully functional window curtain so the light doesn't shine through the window and disrupt sleep. We were able to call maintenance, after being on hold for about five minutes, and hanging up, then calling back, but things like that should be working already. Also, the floor was very scratchy (which might be intentional to give off a "lived in look") and we found several hairs on both of our beds that we know weren't ours. We called housekeeping and requested a clean through while we were gone for the day, and the hairs were still l there when we came back. This was disappointing. Additionally, the bathroom shower was great, but the handle was a bit hard to turn, which might be more difficult for future guests, and also the bathroom didn't have a fan. I have never experienced a hotel bathroom without a fan, as fans are what usually makes the mold and mildew and mist go away after use. Finally, the wooden door to the room was well designed, but the door and handle seemed to have a raw edge, and could have been smoother. At other hotels there is usually a silent close, or a more smooth wood finish, so if someone else is asleep or the lights are off and they bump into the door, it doesn't hurt them or make a sound- I bumped into the door and/or handle once, and I had a bruise. I get that unfinished and maybe matte looks are considered fashionable and on trend these days, but for safety and risk purposes, it might be of your best interests to adhere to the same bathroom guidelines as your parent company. It's small details like this that added up and contributed to our stay being average. The hotel was very hyped and talked up to us by many people, and while it was great in many aspects, the cleanliness and product finishing was lacking.
