I can't wait to come back to this hotel. It is so well managed and beautifully convenient for driving, shopping and parking! The staff are so well trained and attentive. The supplies in the bathroom are heavenly.

Picture is misleading

Our stay was one night due to college visit at University of Richmond. The hotel itself was fine. An older hotel with minimal updating, but clean and fine. The issue we have is with the picture of the hotel and the bridge in front. The picture makes it appear that the hotel is connected by the bridge to the Short Pump Town Center and all the shops and restaurants there and it's not. That bridge connects to a parking lot with a dentist office and eye doctors building. It's a bit of a walk to the mall if you're looking to do that. So know that going in. The picture is misleading. The Hyatt House is actually closer to the mall and restaurants an easier to walk. We did not eat at Shula's restaurant since the bar area next the the restaurant was taken over and packed with parents for a local sports banquet. We had one over priced drink ($ 15 for a martini) and left and went to Cooper's Hawk Winery/restaurant down the road which was excellent.

Enjoyable Stay

I recently spent one night in Richmond and stayed at the Hilton with my son. I selected the hotel over other Hilton-family hotels in the Richmond area because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor and because of the executive lounge.

Most of the other executive lounges I've stayed in were in Europe, and had free wine/beer. This one was $6 for a glass of wine. Still, I enjoyed my glass of wine and the nibbles kept me going throughout the evening. The executive lounge was basically deserted each time I visited, so I think it was a fairly slow night (a Friday night in February).

We partook of Shula's restaurant and enjoyed a very nice meal there in the evening. The breakfast was also excellent, with many hot options.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel and I would stay there again if I was passing through the area.

Excellent Hotel

Impeccable service; rooms have high quality features throughout and very clean current to modern taste. I requested hypoallergenic room and measures had proactively been taken to accommodate my sensitivities .The staff mentioned when I arrived which has never happened at another hotel. I was impressed!

Excellent service, location and rooms. Stayed many times with excellent memories. The breadfeast and lounging area in very good taste. There are numerous restaurants to choose from in the immediate area.
