How to Get There
We were looking for getaway close to home for a restful weekend to relax and celebrate our anniversary. The cottage was just what we were looking for and what we needed. It was a great escape. We will be back!
I loved the attention to detail. Arriving after a four hour drive to find the cozy cottage filled with firelight and spa music was the absolute perfect start to a very lovely, relaxing, pampered weekend. I also appreciated that I was able to go straight to my rental cottage without having to check in at a reception desk. Very uncomplicated and efficient.
I have stayed here a few times over the years. And it has always been one of my favorites. Fitzgerald's cabin is one of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Being located in the Shenandoah Valley adds great views. If you come to the valley its a must.
We stayed here for our anniversary! After hiking in Shenandoah, we came home to a clean, spacious, quiet cottage. We had a personalized welcome message that made us feel right at home, and after hiking in the cold, it was nice to relax and unwind in the large whirlpool tub! Thank you :-)
My husband and I are repeat visitors, and stayed 3 nights this trip. It was not too much! We actually enjoyed fixing our own breakfasts, and while Harrisonburg is an interesting place to visit, we are partial to spending lots of time in our little home away from home called Mountain Laurel. Though it was cool, our porch was too inviting to ignore, and my husband enjoyed a cigar while we both gazed at the peaceful pond and listened to the birdsong. The level of cleanliness and care we find here is second to none, and we always leave feeling blessed and renewed.
